CONFLICT SITUATIONS AROUND THE WORLD
• Pray that world leaders and policy makers have compassion, wisdom, courage and God’s guidance to take action for just and lasting peace for conflict around the world.
• Ask God to sustain families left without an income or the means to find food and shelter – those who have been displaced from their homes and those who are grieving.
• Pray that aid reaches all those who need it. Thank God for all those reaching across divides to build just and lasting peace, showing God’s love by responding to great need.
• Pray for protection, strength and resilience as they continue to serve in incredibly challenging circumstances.

LATIN AMERICA
Many countries across Latin America are experiencing increasing levels of violence linked to transnational crime, drug cartels and organised criminal networks. This growing insecurity is deeply affecting communities, families and young people, particularly in countries such as Ecuador and Peru.
• Pray for peace amid rising violence in Latin America.
• Pray for pastors and church leaders who are faithfully serving in areas impacted by violence, often at personal risk.
• Pray for protection, courage and wisdom as they continue to share God’s love and hope. May churches increasingly become places of peace, reconciliation and healing.

NEPAL
• Pray for physical endurance, safety and steady resolve for first responders, government officials and specialist tunnel-rescue teams navigating treacherous terrain, mudslides and flooded hydropower tunnels.
• Please pray for clear weather to support helicopter operations and sharp discernment as crews operate under the constant risk of unstable debris and secondary landslides.
• Pray for clear passage for our country team and partner staff trying to access affected areas to deliver aid.
• Pray for those trying to restore roads so the public, rescue teams and aid workers can access hard-to-reach areas.
• Pray for emotional endurance and peace for thousands of local and international families enduring the agonising wait for news of missing loved ones.
• Pray that local authorities and forensic specialists receive the resources and wisdom needed to carry out identification work quickly and establish clear communication with waiting families.

NEPAL
Terrifying, sudden flooding in Nepal has claimed the lives and livelihoods of many people this week.
• Pray for those people affected, those grieving lost loved ones, those who are displaced, and those waiting for news of the missing.
• Pray for the rescue workers, first responders and local leaders as they try to reach the most vulnerable.
• Pray for wisdom and endurance for relief agencies and their local partners as they seek to bring relief, hope and care to those most in need.

AFGHANISTAN
On 31 August last year, a major earthquake in the east of Afghanistan killed 2,200 people and injured more than 3,000. Tearfund’s local partners responded and are still working in the area on recovery and rehabilitation – including constructing and repairing 100 houses and helping communities clear debris from their fields, grow new crops and replace the livestock they lost in the quake.
• Pray for all those affected by last year’s earthquake to have all the physical, practical and emotional resources they need to recover and rebuild their lives.

INDONESIA
Wildfire are sweeping across Indonesia.
• Pray for Indonesia as the country continues to battle wildfires in large swathes of peatlands and woodlands.
• Pray for the firefighters on the front lines as they battle the blaze, for their safety and protection.
These wildfires have caused a thick blanket of smoke and haze, leading to severe respiratory issues for people staying outside too long.
• Pray for a swift end to the fire and a restoration of the air quality.
