The ministry was founded in 1986 by Heather Thompson who is still the director of the ministry. Powerpack is all about seeing children raised up as ‘God chasers and nation shakers’. Powerpack is interdenominational and charismatic in character. We are team based – drawing volunteers from various churches throughout the UK and overseas. ompson, Nick Jackson and Chris Jackson. The ministry is administered by the Powerpack Trust. We have teams working in Chiang Mai, Thailand and La Plata, Argentina. Heather founded Powerpack 26 years ago with a vision to see children packed full of God’s power. She is currently involved in training and inspiring leaders, parents and churches in the UK, Argentina, USA, Italy and South East Asia and has also ministered in a number of other countries in the past. She is also a children’s ministry consultant for a number of churches and has recently finished her book ‘Ignite’, the aim of which is to help children’s leaders facilitate the move of the Spirit within their programmes. Nick heads up children’s ministry in the UK, working locally in the community and has a national role for events, such as Spring Harvest. Faith Camp & River Camp. Nick lives in Oxford, he’s married to Kath and has two kids Josie & Ella. Nick’s background as a deputy head teacher in a large primary school means lots of his weekly work is connected to community and schools – seeing children be transformed by God and then transforming their world. The team is international and intergenerational. Many members oversee children’s work in their own churches and have been in the Powerpack family for many years. Across the whole team there is a passion to see children encounter God, receive all they can from His Spirit and go out equipped and empowered to ‘shake the nation.’ For events we often have team joining us from across the UK, Thailand, Italy and the USA, along with missionaries to this country from Argentina’s revival!
