📢 Albury Neighbourhood Plan: Consultation Event THIS Saturday! 📢

What do you want Albury to look like over the next 15 years? From protecting our local green spaces, dark skies, and heritage to addressing housing and climate change—the draft Neighbourhood Plan sets out the policies that will shape our parish's future.
We need to hear from everyone across the parish to ensure the plan passes its independent examination.

🗓️ How to Get Involved:
• ☕ Come to the Consultation Event THIS Saturday: Join us on Saturday, 25th July 10am – 11.30am at the Village Hall to chat with the team, ask questions, and review the draft policies in person.
• 💬 Visit a Drop-In Clinic: Can’t make it Saturday? Stop by one of our regular drop-in sessions at the Memorial Library running throughout July and August.
• 📝 Have Your Say Online: Read the draft policies and complete the quick online questionnaire on your own time. Your feedback is crucial!

What do you want Albury to look like over the next 15 years? From protecting our local green spaces and heritage to addressing affordable housing, climate change, and dark skies—the draft Albury Neighbourhood Plan sets out the policies that will shape our community's future.

🗓️ Consultation Period: 13th July – 31st August 2026

We need to hear from the entire parish to ensure the plan passes its independent examination.

🏡 How to participate:

1. Read the plan: Full digital copies and supporting documents are available on the website - https://alburyparishneighbourhoodplan.org
2. Come talk to us: We are hosting public events at the Village Hall (13th & 25th July) alongside regular drop-in sessions at the Memorial Library throughout July and August.
3. Have your say: Submit your feedback via our online questionnaire, email, or post (name and address required for validation). The questionnaire can be found at https://links.alburyparishcouncil.gov.uk/d8kPhK - you must be a resident of the parish for your views to be considered.

Emergency Works - Shophouse Lane, Albury

This from Surrey County Council

For your information I am writing to advise you of emergency works initiated by Thames Water on Shophouse Lane, Albury.
The works are being carried out under road closure for visible leak. The expected completion date is 26th February.

The duration for any ‘immediate’ activity, such as a water leak, cannot be initially challenged upon receipt of the permit. However, we do realise unplanned works of this nature can cause inconvenience and our team is liaising with the utilities company for updates on the progress as and when necessary.

The Albury Village Hall Committee would very grateful for donations for their Jumble Sale on 24th January!

Drop-off times:
* Friday 23rd Jan: 4–6pm
* Saturday 24th Jan: 8–10am

They are looking for:
* Toys, games & puzzles
* Clothes & shoes
* Handbags & jewellery
* Bedding, linen & small household items

Please no bulky furniture, electrical items, or anything broken or soiled.

All proceeds go towards keeping Albury Village Hall open, so every donation makes a real difference.
