Merseyside Guild of Weavers

Merseyside Guild of Weavers Merseyside Guild of Weavers, one of 111 Guilds across the British Isles that collectively form the national Ass. of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers.

Our Guild is made up of a group of enthusiasts who are interested in weaving, spinning, braidmaking and/or dyeing. However members' interests do not stop there and include embroidery, knitting, feltmaking, basketry and lacemaking! The Guild's aim is to keep the traditional crafts of handweaving, spinning and dyeing alive in our busy, modern world. We hold monthly meetings which are open to all, wh

ere we share skills and ideas. We explore a variety of textile techniques through talks and workshops, given by our own members and by visiting craftspeople. Meetings usually take place on the first Saturday of each month (except August). We meet at the Hope Centre (Old Roan Baptist Church), Aintree Lane, Aintree L10 2JD. This is very close to Old Roan railway station and to 'Switch Island'. The meetings are from 11am to 4pm.
