What at day today at our Childrenโ€™s Day Services! At Portglenone we had a great crowd in the parish centre as we heard from all the members of PGKidz; and at St Colmanellโ€™s we celebrated with our Kidzone and with our Youth Fellowship (The Way). Well done to all our young people in both churches โ€“ they are class! And thank you to all the parents and grandparents for faithfully bringing them along and of course thanks to all our Sunday School leaders.
Also today:
โ€ข We had a Renewal of Baptismal Vows by Derek Donaghy from Ahoghill;
โ€ข We said a very special thank you to Amanda McCallion, and her husband Stephen, for their many years of awesome service as Sunday School leaders in St Colmanells.
โ€ข We prayed for our new leaders, including David & Tara Duly who will be leading a new youth fellowship group in Portglenone from September this year, and for Gillian Moody who will be picking up the reigns as a Sunday School leader in Kidzone in St Colmanells.
โ€ข We were also encouraged to hear that a number of our young people in our Youth Fellowship who are now turning 18 are intending to continue serving as either YF or Sunday School leaders from September onwards โ€“ so so encouraging!
Thanks again for all who came along, and donโ€™t forget both Kidzone and The Way Youth Fellowship continues each Sunday morning until Sunday 21 June when we break for the Summer.

So sorry to share the sad news that Elizabeth (Libby) Kilpatrick passed away suddenly yesterday. Libby was a faithful attender at St Colmanell's and always had a genuine smile and encouragement for everyone in her church family. Please pray for her family at this difficult time, especially her husband Dessie, son Geoffrey and daugther Tamara. ๐Ÿ™

PG Kidz (our Sunday School in Portglenone) had their final gathering of this church season, with David Duly with us to talk to the children. David, and his wife Tara, will be leading our older age group from September onwards. We look forward to seeing any family and friends next Sunday (24th May) at our Children & Young Peopleโ€™s Service in Portglenone Parish Centre @ 10am, when our young people will showcase what they have been learning over the past year at PG Kidz. All are welcome! ๐Ÿค—

We said an emotional farewell to Andy Brooking, our Intern, at our morning services in Portglenone and St Colmanell's parishes today. Our young people from Kidzone and YF laid hands and prayed for Andy's future ministry. Our choir in St Colmanell's sang an anthem and gifts were handed over to Andy and his family in both churches. Andy will be going on to serve as a Curate with Dunluce Parish in Bushmills. Andy will be speaking at his final service with us this evening, 6pm at St Colmanell's Church, you are more than welcome to join us!
