Sometimes Praise starts with Remembering 🙌

Who God is. What He’s done. How He loves us and the hope we have in Jesus.

Today we reminded ourselves of His faithfulness in our own lives, finding fresh courage for the battles many are facing now. Sometimes we need to give our thanks a voice before our feelings catch up.

But there was laughter too and plenty of water in Children’s Church as they explored the story of water from the rock.

And through Valda’s message came a reminder that stays with us: the mercy that made room for us is still making room for others.

So we keep praising, keep praying and keep making room for ONE MORE. ❤️

New faces. Painted Bread. A Promise that changes Everything.

Children’s Church got creative with the story of manna painting bread, making toast and eating their artwork!

And we kicked off READY OR NOT with a message that matters. JESUS IS COMING BACK. What difference will that make to our Monday?

Love better. Forgive sooner. Stop putting off what matters. And keep reaching ONE MORE. Lift up your head. Jesus hasn’t finished the story.

FOUR YEARS OF ONE CHURCH ❤️

What a Sunday! Worship, Encouragement, laughter and a church family with so much to thank God for.

How good is God?

We’re continually humbled by the lengths He has gone to bring us close and today’s message was such a timely reminder... He knows you! He wants you!

Jesus knows our whole story and still says, “Come to me.” He went to the cross to make a way for us and promises never to turn away those who come. What a reason to celebrate.

Four years of faith, community and lives changed by Jesus. Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey.

So much to be grateful for. So much still ahead.
And always room for ONE MORE. ❤️

SUNDAYS ❤️

New people walking through the doors.
New team members getting stuck in.
New children joining the fun.

Plenty of noise, laughter, worship, coffee and people doing life together! We love seeing our church family grow.

Today we also brought our 'Be Strong and Courageous' series to a close with 'Keep saying Yes' because following Jesus isn't just about the Yes we said at the beginning, but the Yes we keep saying through every chapter. And the best bit? There’s always room for ONE MORE.

FRESH FIRE... THIS WEDNESDAY

“The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out.”
Leviticus 6:12

God lit the fire.
But the priests had to keep putting fresh wood on it.

Sometimes we don’t need something new.
We need FRESH FIRE on what God has already begun.

A night to worship.
A night to pray.
A night to make room for God again.

SAME ROOM. NEW SEASON. 🔥

Today, something shifted.

Same room.

But a new layout. New screen. New songs. New faces. New people finding HOME. And a church family that didn’t just cope with change… we embraced it.

But the biggest change wasn’t what we could SEE. God was present. And through Valda’s powerful message, CARRY IT, we were reminded again that wherever God calls us to go, He goes with us.

We’re stepping into a new season together, and we’re excited for what God is doing amongst us.

Well…...That was a Sunday! 😂

Pretty much everything that could go wrong technically…went wrong.

No screen
No visuals.
No timers.
No prompts.
No safety net. 😬
And somehow…

We worshipped without words on a screen and it was freeing and passionate.

We did announcements without visual reminders and apparently we can actually remember things! 😂

Starts, breaks and finishes happened without a countdown clock. And the message landed without a single visual. Maybe this morning reminded us of something really simple:

The tools are useful. But they were never the reason we gathered.

What a morning.
What a church family.
And seriously…

TOMORROW WE PRAY FOR OUR SCHOOLS 🙏

Tomorrow, Wednesday 9 September, churches across the country will be joining together for the National Day of Prayer for Schools.

And here at ONE Church, we’re joining with many other churches across our area to pray specifically for the schools, children, young people, teachers, staff and families right on our doorstep.

These aren’t just schools on a list. They’re our communities. Our children. Our teachers. Our families. And we believe prayer matters.

On Sunday evening we sent out a much more extensive hour-by-hour prayer guide through our Church Prayer Email, giving you different things to focus on throughout the day. Check your inbox and keep it handy for tomorrow.

We’ve posted an abbreviated version here too but whether you pray for five minutes, take an hour, pray on the school run, at home, at work, or as you pass one of these schools…

JUST PRAY.

Let’s cover our local schools in prayer.
Let’s pray for protection, wisdom, courage and wellbeing.
Let’s pray for teachers and leaders carrying enormous responsibility.
Let’s pray for every child and young person to flourish.
And let’s pray that God’s presence, peace and purposes would be known in our schools.
