Eglwys Newydd Hafod St Michael and All Angels or Eglwys Newydd is situated in the beautiful wooded upper Ystwyth Valley on the edge of the Hafod Estate.

This church was built to serve the Johnes family who owned the nearby mansion of Hafod and the local community.

Great to meet with ordinands and those considering a career in ministry in my role as a Vocations Adviser. I had amazing support and guidance from my own VA Rev Ian Girling, without whose help and support I would not be a 'Vicar' today. I am privileged to support and guide others now exploring their own 'calling'. If you feel called to ministry the first step is to speak with your local vicar. There are both full time 'stipendiary and self supporting ordained roles and lay roles as worship leaders and Lay Readers. There are flexible training pathways and opportunities to complete a Diploma or Degree in Theology for Ministry and the Diocese now also offers Apprenticeships in Christian Ministry!

A few of the ordinands, recently ordained and vocation discerners who gathered for a light garden supper with Bishop Dorrien. The diocese is keen for those on vocational journeys to meet together. If you think God is calling you, speak with your own local vicar.
