A reminder that our new 10am service time starts tomorrow!

Last autumn's survey on the time of Sunday morning worship revealed that nearly 80% of respondents either struggle with the current time or would prefer an earlier start. The Kirk Session considered options and agreed to implement the earlier time of 10am with effect from Sunday 3 May.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Due to winter conditions, there will be no service tomorrow, 11th January.

Met Office have declared an amber warning for tomorrow and, compounded by comments received from elders living in Aberlour village, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the service.

Knockando Kirk, Rothes Parish Church, St Margaret's Church, and Mortlach Kirk have also cancelled their services tomorrow.

09/01/2026

Due to ongoing weather conditions and the poor forecast for the weekend, the Rev Andrew Kimmitt’s last service and the corresponding presentation have been rescheduled again for 18th January.

We have arranged for pulpit supply for the 11th January service, and welcome all who can safely attend.

Edit: Per our follow-up post, the 11th January service has been cancelled due to weather.

Following consideration of travel conditions in current bad weather, and bearing in mind official Amber Warning advising no non-essential travel, we have decided to cancel Sunday's service in Aberlour Church.
Andrew is currently in Fife and it would be unsafe for him to travel to Aberlour in current conditions.

Andrew’s last service and the presentation have been rescheduled for 11th January.

Bittersweet Christmas Service – An Invitation

Christmas can be a hard time for many of us. Even amid the joy, some of us carry sadness, memories, or the pain of recent loss. This quiet, reflective service offers a gentle space away from the busyness, without any pressure to be “merry.”

We’ll name the complex emotions Christmas can bring and seek Christ’s light in the midst of them.

If this season feels difficult for you — for any reason — you are warmly invited.
