We hope you enjoy these photos from our Open Day last weekend.
It was lovely to see so many people coming to see what is going on at KMC Aberdeen.

The day started with a talk and meditations on the topic of Finding Peace from Within, led by Kelsang Yonchen, then there was an opportunity to ask questions, talk with volunteers, browse the bookshop and enjoy a light soup lunch or a cream tea.

During the afternoon there were 15 minute taster meditations, with some people staying and enjoying all of them.

Taster meditations at 1pm, 1.45p and 2.30pm
Informal tours throughout the day

We had a fabulous time yesterday sharing information about our Open Day this Sunday and other events during the Autumn in the Rosemount Area of Aberdeen.

A lovely cafe lunch finished off a great day.

Away Retreat - The Silence Within (pt 2)

People said how much they enjoyed having time in silence. Such a rarity in everyday life!
The time between meditation sessions gave plenty of opportunity for contemplation, reading and walking in the beautiful local area, enjoying the longest day and some spectacular sunsets as well as delicious food

Away Retreat - The Stillness Within (pt 1)

Last weekend attendees from around the North of Scotland had a beautiful silent retreat in Portsoy. Kelsang Yonchen led meditations on the nature of the mind, taking students into the experience of the peace and tranquility that arises we start to focus on the mind itself, rather than the busyness of our conceptual thoughts.

Sessions took place in the cosy Salmon Bothy, a short walk along the coast path from our accomodation at the Sail Loft.
