At Sunday Club we were learning about Matthew the tax collector who decided to follow Jesus.
We had a game of 'find the chocolate coins' then we shared them out equally. 😋
For craft we made heart shapes and made one side dark and sad and the other side bright with the words 'Jesus makes me new'.
We finished the session with a game of follow my leader.

Sunday Club runs during the morning service for anyone up to P7.

Today at Sunday Club we talked all about Pentecost and how the disciples might have felt feeling the wind; seeing the flames and hearing all the different voices as they were filled with the Holy Spirit. We also talked about how they had spent time waiting in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came and how we sometimes have to wait too until God tells us that it's the right time to do something.
We made our own flame headbands by colouring in or sticking flame coloured paper on a dove shape - not everyone wanted their picture taken but they all looked great - and look out in church for our multilingual poster. (Some of our Sunday Club managed the translations better than the leaders to work out what the phrase was.

Connect is coming in September.

Oldmachar Church are launching a new youth club for P7s. We'll have games, crafts, tuck and plenty of time to chat. A chance for our young people to get to know one another and build friendships with peers from other feeder schools before they start Oldmachar Academy.
Is your child currently in P6? We're holding 2 taster sessions this term to let them see what Connect is all about before they move into P7.

We had the privilege of hosting YPI Scotland today, who work with young people up and down Scotland, empowering them to make a difference in their communities.
They have been working with the wonderful ASN students and staff from Bucksburn Academy, Bridge of Don Academy, Orchard Brae School and Cults Academy, who have looked at social issues in their areas, liaised with local charities, and this morning presented what they have done and why their charity should receive a grant of £3000.
It was a joyful morning, watching and listening to all of the hard work and passion these students have put into their projects and presentations.
And a special congratulations to Cults Academy who won the grant for their chosen charity.
