We'd great fun at our quiz night on Friday evening.
Lots of head scratching and debating over answers, with plenty of chatter & laughter too. There were prizes for the winners; a wee commiseration sweetie for those in last place and lots of gifts to be had from the raffle.
And the stovies & macaroni were delicious as always.
Thank you to evetyone who came along or donated raffles, our quizmaster, those involved in organising the evening and the Country Club for hosting us.

We are praying for all of our brothers and sisters affected by the tragic events at the Big Church Festival yesterday, especially the family and friends of the person who lost their life, and all those who were injured.
May God hold them in his comforting embrace and give them peace.

We are devastated by the serious incident that took place at Big Church Festival 2026 today, in which a sign fell, injuring at least seven people, one of whom tragically lost their life.

First and foremost, all of our thoughts are with those who have been affected, their families and friends, and everyone who witnessed what happened.

Following today’s incident, we have made the decision to bring Big Church Festival 2026 to a close.

It's Makaton International Awareness Day 2026. Here at Oldmachar Church we have been trying to embed Makaton into our worship as we seek to be an inclusive community of Jesus, and here is an example of that.

Next Sunday we will be starting a new series looking at the Acts of the Apostles, the story of the early Church written by the author of the Gospel of Luke. We will be diving into how the early Church operated, worshipped, evangelised and cared for all, and seeing what that may have to say about the Church in 21st Century Scotland.
