Aberdeen Springfield Church Service: Sunday 31st May 2026 at 11am

25/05/2026

PRAYER TOPICS
1. Thanksgiving for the Gift of the Holy Spirit
Pray with gratitude for God’s presence, guidance, and strength in our daily lives.
2. Renewal and Unity in the Church
Pray that the Holy Spirit will renew our Church and bring people together in love, peace, and understanding.
3. Courage to Witness and Serve
Pray for boldness to share God’s love and His salvation through our words, actions, and service to others.

MEDITATION
Pentecost reminds us that the Church was born through the power of the Holy Spirit. The disciples were fearful and uncertain, but the Spirit transformed them into a courageous and united community that shared God’s love with the world.
Today, our churches also face many challenges—division, discouragement, and uncertainty about the future. Yet Pentecost reminds us that the same Spirit is still at work among us, renewing faith, giving hope, and calling us to serve with love and compassion.
The Church becomes truly alive when we open our hearts to God, care for one another, and live out the Gospel in our daily lives. Pentecost reminds us that we are still guided and strengthened by the Spirit of God today.

PRAYER TOPICS

1. Prayer for Peace Pray for peace and reconciliation in places of conflict and division.
2. Prayer for Those in Need Pray for people facing fear, hardship, and uncertainty, that they may find strength and hope.
3. Prayer for Hope Pray that Christ’s light and resurrection hope would renew our world.

MEDITATION
In modern times, is the Bible being compensated? Today many people are on a quest for ‘unity at all costs’ and are therefore devaluating the importance of the truth as revealed in God’s word. In 2 Timothy 4:3–5, it is confirmed that the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. Let us all be aware of this and ask Him to help us righteously read His word.

This week's Prayer Topics and Meditation:

PRAYER TOPICS
1. Prayer for Peace Pray for peace and reconciliation in places of conflict and division.
2. Prayer for Those in Need Pray for people facing fear, hardship, and uncertainty, that they may find strength and hope.
3. Prayer for Hope Pray that Christ’s light and resurrection hope would renew our world.

MEDITATION
“Lord, you have searched me and you know me… You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.” Psalm 139:1-3.
God reminds us that He sees our hearts fully and walks with us through every struggle. Even when we feel unseen by others or burdened by life’s challenges, we are never alone in God’s presence. He knows our fears, our hopes, our disappointments, and the silent prayers we carry within us. In every season, God remains near—guiding, strengthening, and sustaining us with His grace. When the road feels uncertain, He invites us to place our trust in Him, knowing that His love is steadfast and His faithfulness never fails. As we rest in this assurance, may our hearts find peace and renewed hope in the God who walks beside us each day.
