PRAYER TOPICS
1. Prayer for the Church: Faithful and Effective Pray that the church remains rooted in God's Word and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
2. Prayer for Caring for People in Need Pray that believers will show Christ's compassion through practical service, generosity, and love for those in need.
3. Prayer for Humble Obedience to God Pray for hearts that submit to God's will above personal preference and faithfully follow His leading.

MEDITATION
Life often feels complicated because we carry more than we need—more worries, more expectations, more noise than our hearts were designed to hold. Yet simplicity is not the absence of responsibility; it is the presence of clarity. It is learning to hold tightly only what truly matters and gently release what does not. When life is simplified, small things become visible again: a quiet morning, a sincere conversation, the steady rhythm of gratitude. We begin to notice that peace was never missing—it was just buried under excess. The Bible speaks into this desire for a lighter way of living: “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (Matthew 6:34)”.
This verse doesn’t dismiss the reality of difficulty; it invites us to live one day at a time. Simplicity, in this sense, is trust—choosing not to let tomorrow steal the strength meant for today. A simple life is not a smaller life. It is a steadier one, where faith replaces fear, gratitude replaces comparison, and presence replaces pressure.

Monday morning – Cyrenians collection from 10 – 11 a.m. along with a Fairtrade Stall and Jean’s Jams.

EVERY WEDNESDAY our PRAYER GROUP meets in the Douglas Lounge at 10.30 a.m. Coffee and fellowship will follow. All welcome.

Coffee Chat & Companionship (C.C.C.) the fourth Wednesday of every month. The group is open to everyone whatever their age who enjoy meeting others over a coffee, for some company and a chat. Douglas Lounge at Springfield Church, where you will be made most welcome". Next meeting on Wednesday 24th June at 2.30 p.m.

PRAYER TOPICS
1. Prayer for Renewal Pray that God will refresh your faith and spirit. Name areas where you feel tired or distant, and invite new strength.
2. Prayer for Compassion Pray that God will give you a heart that notices and cares for others. Ask for the grace to respond with kindness.
3. Prayer for Trust in Uncertainty Pray that God will help you trust in the midst of uncertainty, and ask for peace and steady faith for the next step.

MEDITATION
Memory is often more present in the human heart than is immediately recognised. It surfaces in unexpected moments—through a word, a place, a silence, or a familiar feeling. There is a recalling of people who have shaped life, seasons that have formed character, and experiences that still echo in quiet ways. Not all that is remembered is easy to hold. Some memories carry gratitude, while others carry weight or unfinished emotion. Joy and regret, clarity and confusion can sit side by side. Remembering is not only looking back, but holding what has been with honesty. Memory also shapes the present. It can draw a person towards what cannot be changed, or gently remind them of what has sustained them until now. As the Psalmist says: “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” (Psalm 77:11–12)
So there is an invitation to pause, remember, and notice what has been given, what has been carried, and what continues quietly shaping life with grace and faithfulness.

Wednesday 10th June The Guild meet at 2 p.m. in the Church Hall for our AGM followed by hymns and music with Marjorie Kelman. All welcome.
