Aberdeen South Church is an active Christian congregation of the Church of Scotland, within the Presbytery of Aberdeen. The Parish covers Kincorth, Torry and Cove.Sunday worship starts at 11am with Sunday School meeting in the small hall.

🏆🎉 CHAMPIONS’ CHALLENGE – DAY 5 COMPLETE! 🎉🏆

And just like that… our five days of Champions’ Challenge are complete! ❤️

Today we finished with The Seriously Surprising Story – and discovered the biggest surprise of all! ✝️🌅

There was plenty of singing, dancing, games and laughter, we completed our Personal Best Challenge, and our Champions made brilliant scratch-design trophies to take home. 🏆🎨

But perhaps the most important event of the entire week finally happened…

🚨🍪 BUZZ FOUND HIS PARTY RINGS!!! 🍪🚨

Five days of searching, complaining and causing chaos… and peace has finally been restored to Summer Club! 😂

What an absolutely fantastic week we’ve had. From Trainers and Physios to Teammates, Substitutions and today’s Seriously Surprising Story, our Champions have thrown themselves into everything!

A MASSIVE thank you to every child who joined us, every parent and carer who brought them along, and our wonderful team of volunteers who made the whole week possible. ❤️

But we’re not quite finished yet… 👀

🏆 CHAMPIONS’ CHALLENGE – DAYS 3 & 4 COMPLETE! 🏆

We’ve been having so much fun that we forgot to post yesterday… so here’s a double Summer Club catch-up! 😂🎉

🐟 DAY 3 – TEAMMATE
Our story came from Luke 9:1–6 & 10–17, including the feeding of the 5,000… although our version looked suspiciously like a shift at McDonald’s! 🍔🍟😂

We discovered how important TEAMMATES are – working together, helping each other and playing our part. Our take-home craft was a fantastic paper plate fish 🐟 and, of course, the Personal Best Challenge continued!

🌿 DAY 4 – SUBSTITUTION
Today it was time for Palm Sunday, brilliantly told by Lynda. We heard about Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey and had a bit of fun imagining a horse needing a substitute – with the humble donkey proving he was just as good for the job! 🫏🏇

We even headed outside to collect our own palm leaves 🌿 before making some brilliant donkey faces to take home.

Add in games, singing, dancing, challenges and plenty of laughter and it’s been another fantastic couple of days!

And yes… Buzz is STILL looking for those Party Rings. 🍪🙄😂

Four days down and our Champions are still going strong! 🏆❤️

🏆 CHAMPIONS’ CHALLENGE – DAY 2 COMPLETE! 🏆

Another brilliant morning at Summer Club and Day 2 is officially done! 🎉

Today our Champion word was PHYSIO 🩹💪 and we heard the story from Luke 7:1–10, where a Roman centurion asked Jesus to help his servant who was very ill. We discovered that the centurion had such amazing faith and trust in Jesus that he believed Jesus only had to say the word and his servant would be healed. ❤️

Just like a physio helps someone get back on their feet, we thought about how Jesus can help us, and how we can trust him even when things are difficult.

🏅 We continued our Personal Best Challenge — some competitive streaks are definitely starting to appear! 😂
🎨 There was more crafting, games, singing and dancing.
🐝 And obviously Buzz returned with more nonsense and his ongoing quest for the missing Party Rings! 🍪🙄

Lots of laughter, lots of energy and another fantastic morning with our Champions. ❤️

2 days down… 3 to go! 🏆

🏆 CHAMPIONS’ CHALLENGE – DAY 1 COMPLETE! 🏆

And just like that… Day 1 is in the bag! 🎉

y we kicked off our Champions’ Challenge and discovered that every good champion needs a TRAINER to help them make good and smart decisions. 👟🧠

🎨 We got crafty making our very own paddle balls — with varying levels of success at actually hitting the ball! 😂

🏅 We launched our Personal Best Challenge and started setting some scores to try and beat as the week goes on.

💦 Calum told us the story of the wise and foolish builders… and somehow quite a few of us ended up getting a little wetter than expected! Apparently telling a story about a flood requires commitment. 🌊😂

🐝 And, of course, Buzz made his grand return! It wouldn't be Summer Club without him turning up and causing a bit of chaos.

There was also plenty of singing, dancing, games, laughter and all the usual Summer Club madness!

A HUGE thank you to all our Champions who joined us today — you were brilliant! ❤️

Now everyone get some rest because…

After all the planning, preparing, cutting, sticking, rehearsing, organising… and probably a little bit of panic 😂… Champions’ Challenge Summer Club 2026 starts TODAY!

We can’t wait to welcome our Champions for a week packed with games, crafts, drama, songs, Bible stories, challenges, laughter and plenty of surprises! 🏃🎨🎭🎶

Just TWO DAYS until the doors open for Champions’ Challenge! 🎉
Of course, Summer Club doesn’t just magically happen…

Behind the scenes, our brilliant team of volunteers are busy cutting, sticking, decorating, planning, practising, shopping, organising and generally wondering why on earth they agreed to do this again! 😂

Some have been helping for years, some are newer recruits, but every single one gives up their time to make Summer Club a fantastic week for the children. ❤️

By Monday morning we’ll all be smiling, enthusiastic and completely organised…

…that’s the plan anyway. 🤣

Did you know our Summer Club has been part of the Torry community for over 40 years?! 😲❤️

That’s over four decades of games, crafts, songs, Bible stories, friendships, questionable dance moves, brilliant volunteers… and probably enough juice and biscuits to fill Pittodrie! 😂

Generations of children have come through our doors, and we’re delighted to be doing it all over again in 2026.
