Bryn Sion Baptist Church Aberdare Here at Bryn Sion we believe God has called us to be one big growing family of all ages welcoming to all.

We meet every Sunday morning at 11am in the Trecynon Hall and have a range of community activities, groups and activities. Here at Bryn Sion we are one big growing family welcoming to all. We value all ages, and love to encourage our children and young people. For many years we have been running activities for benefit of Trecynon and surrounding areas and we’re committed to continuing and developi

ng our community work. Our community activities currently include:
Parent & Toddlers (term time), Tuesdays 9am & 11am
Coffee Morning Warm Space Wednesdays 10am
After School Family Fun (fortnightly) Wednesdays 3.30pm
Children's club, Thursdays 6pm-7pm
Youngsters (school years 5 & 6) Fridays 5pm to 6pm
Youth (secondary ages) Fridays 7pm

We have connect groups for women, men, youth, twenties, seniors, and those who are new Christians. We meet every Sunday morning at 11am in the Trecynon Hall. A Sunday School also runs during part of this service in our Hub. We also have a space for babies and tots in our Hub should parents with younger children wish to make use of this during our Sunday service, and there are baby change facilities and toys available too.

You are warmly invited to join with us at Bryn Sion on Sunday at 11am!

Each year we are delighted to host a wonderful camp in partnership with some local churches. The 5 day camp offers life-changing moments for care-experienced children, by creating a space where children who are supported by the local authority can develop healthy relationships, build trust, and find hope. 

We have 60 volunteers ready to serve, and on Sunday morning at 11am they will be commissioned.

Come and join us for worship and to hear more about this wonderful project!

(There will not be a children's programme alongside our service on Sunday)

You are so very welcome to join with us for our official reopening service on Saturday 12th September at 6pm!

Bryn Sion chapel has been a place of worship, faith, hope and refuge at the centre of Trecynon for 164 years. For the past 9 years Bryn Sion Baptist Church has been worshipping in the nearby Trecynon Hall and serving the community from our Hub, but we are now back in our newly refurbished chapel. The chapel has experienced momentous times in the past, most notably during the early days of the 1904 revival, but we haven't rennovated to hold onto the past - we are looking to a new day!

As a Grade II Listed building we have rennovated sympathetically to preserve historic features, whilst providing a fresh, welcoming, accessible, visible, and flexible space for our worship and community activities.

On Saturday 12th September, 6pm, we will have a service of thanksgiving and rededication, followed by refreshments, and you are welcome to join with us!

We are an active growing church family of all ages, and if you are looking for a church or exploring faith, you are very welcome at Bryn Sion!

If you are looking for a church you are very welcome to join us on Sunday 11am, and any Sunday, at Bryn Sion!

Worship, encouragement, prayer, a children's talk, and pastor Ian will be speaking.

We also have a children's programme that runs alongside part of our service, and a creche area for parents / carers with younger children which has a livelink to the service, should they want to make use of this (please note we will not have a children's programme on 16th or 30th August).
