Gateway Church Cymru is a growing, vibrant church based in Aberdare, the heart of the South Wales valleys. Where we come from
Gateway Church Cymru began over 100 years ago with a small group of people from Aberaman. Their hearts desire was to know Jesus and to make Him known to everyone they came in contact with. Where we're headed
What's the bottom line? God has given us a promise that

the future of Gateway Church Cymru will be even greater than our past. More than ever, we have a passion to reach Aberaman and the surrounding areas with the love of God. As we move forward as a church family, inclusion, belonging, and loving people remain at the centre of who we are as followers of Christ. What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Gateway Church Cymru. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith journey, you'll always be accepted as part of the Gateway family. Most of us don’t wake up one day and decide to walk away from God.

We just get distracted.

What is prayer?

Prayer is not about getting the words right or sounding religious. It is simply talking with God.

It is bringing our thoughts, needs and lives honestly before Him, and learning to listen as He speaks to us.

Prayer is relationship with God, open to anyone who turns to Him.

It was so great to gather together as a church family this morning!

There was a real sense of God’s presence from beginning to end, and it was so encouraging to welcome new people with us as well.

We were also blessed to hear Alex preach for the first time on a Sunday morning! He brought a timely and helpful message that will encourage many people in the days ahead.

Most of all, we’re thankful for Jesus and all that He is doing among us. We’re grateful for the community He is building and excited for all that lies ahead. We truly believe our best days are still to come!

Jesus welcomes ordinary people with real struggles, real questions, and real needs. He still changes lives today!
