Happy new year everyone 🎉 May this year bring you new perspectives and hopefully also again more closeness with your friends and family 🍀

Meanwhile, between Christmas and New Year, the newest volume of the European Journal of Japanese Philosophy (EJJP) has made a silent (but bold) appearance 📕

We are happy to announce that the EJJP Vol. 5 was approved for publication on December 28, 2020, just in time! It was a strenuous and difficult year for all of us, and we could clearly feel this while preparing the volume. Our warmest thanks to the contributors, the editorial team and the peer-reviewers that all worked together in the background despite the difficulties!

You can find the Table of Contents (including the abstracts) on our new website https://ejjp-journal.org

If you would like to support us, please ask your local university library to subscribe to our journal (https://ejjp-journal.org/subscriptions/). Library subscriptions are crucial for our journal to thrive and for making your and your colleagues' research known in academia. Thanks for your support and we hope you enjoy reading all of the great new articles, translations and reviews!

❗️New Date for the 6th ENOJP Conference❗️
Conference Date: August 31 - September 3, 2021
Call for Papers Deadline: May 30, 2020

Dear ENOJP members and potential participants in the 6th Conference (Budapest)

We hope our message finds you well.

Since the disruption caused by the pandemic will likely continue for a while, the ENOJP board and the local organizing committee in Budapest have decided to postpone the 6th ENOJP Conference to 2021. The new conference dates will be August 31 - September 3, 2021, while the venue remains the same: Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest.
As you can imagine, postponing the conference was not an easy decision, but safety comes first. We are in permanent contact with the local team in Budapest and are already planning for next year.

The call for applications for the conference will stay open as announced, until May 30, so please do not hesitate to send us your abstract via the conference website (https://enojp2020.elte.hu/callforpapers). All applications will be taken into account for next year, and we plan on circulating a second CFP sometime later this year.

We will contact you with more details about the conference and our other projects in the coming weeks. If you have any questions, suggestions or comments, please do not hesitate to write to us.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in Budapest next year. Until then, stay safe!
