The History of the Temple :
Toulouse is not only one of the biggest and the most enthusiastic city in the south of France,
but it is also the city where many Thais and persons who are interested in Buddhism live. However, in this region, there was no temple, administered by Dhammayut order,
for performing religious activities and being the center of minds for Buddhists who live in the southern F
rance. Thus, a group of Thai Buddhists have rented a house with the size of 200 square meters
and found the Temple named ‘Wat Rajchayanapreecharam’ in March 2010 on the temporary basis. At the beginning, ‘Wat Thammapatip’ from Paris took part in this foundation
and performed religious activities at the Temple. Afterwards,
‘Wat Bodhi-dhamm’ from Frankfurt, Germany, has accepted to take the place of ‘Wat Thammapatip’
in religious matters by appointing ‘Phra Maha Kumthon Jirathammo’ as a Buddhist Ambassador from the 15th of July 2011 until now. At present, the Association has been founded according to French law by using the rented house as a place where religious activities are performed.
ประวัติวัด :
เนื่องจากเมืองตูลูส เป็นเมืองขนาดใหญ่และมีความเจริญ ตั้งอยู่ทางตอนใต้ของประเทศฝรั่งเศส ซึ่งมีชาวไทยและผู้สนใจในพระพุทธศาสนาพำนักอาศัยอยู่เป็นจำนวนมาก แต่พื้นที่ดังกล่าวยังไม่มีวัดของคณะสงฆ์ฝ่ายธรรมยุต เพื่อใช้สำหรับประกอบศาสนกิจ และเป็นศูนย์รวมทางจิตใจของพุทธศาสนิกชนในเขตทางตอนใต้ของประเทศฝรั่งเศส
พุทธศาสนิกชนชาวไทยกลุ่มหนึ่งจึงได้ติดต่อเช่าบ้านพักอาศัยขนาด ๕๐ ตารางวา และได้จัดตั้งเป็นวัดชั่วคราวชื่อว่าวัดราชญาณปรีชาราม ขึ้นเมื่อเดือนธันวาคม ๒๕๕๓ ในช่วงเริ่มต้นวัดธรรมปทีป กรุงปารีส ได้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการก่อตั้ง และมีการปฏิบัติศาสนกิจที่วัด และในเวลาต่อมาวัดโพธิธรรม แฟรงค์เฟิร์ต ประเทศเยอรมนี ก็ได้เข้ามารับช่วงในการดำเนินการด้านศาสนาต่อจากวัดธรรมปทีป โดยส่งพระธรรมฑูต (พระมหากำธร จิรธมฺโม) มาปฏิบัติศาสนกิจ ตั้งแต่วันที่ ๑๕ กรกฎาคม พ.ศ. ๒๕๕๔ จนกระทั่งถึงปัจจุบัน
สถานะปัจจุบัน ได้มีการจัดตั้งสมาคมเป็นที่เรียบร้อยแล้ว แต่ยังคงเช่าบ้านเป็นที่ปฏิบัติศาสนกิจ
