Jesus calls Matthew — a tax collector, an outsider — with just two words: “Follow me.” He sits at table with those others rejected and says, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.”

In a world quick to judge, Christ calls us toward compassion, healing, and grace.

Good Friday — The Cross

On Friday 3 April 2026, we gather for Good Friday, a solemn service of scripture, reflection, and prayer at the foot of the cross.

We hear the Passion of Christ according to John — from betrayal and trial to crucifixion and burial.
“He was wounded for our transgressions… and by his bruises we are healed.”

This is a service of stillness and gravity, where we remember the cost of love and the depth of Christ’s obedience.

Maundy Thursday — The Command to Love

On Thursday 2 April 2026, we gather for Maundy Thursday, the night of the Last Supper — a service of quiet depth, humility, and love.

We hear again how Christ washed the feet of his disciples and gave a new commandment:
“Love one another as I have loved you.”

This is the beginning of the Triduum — the sacred journey toward the cross. A service marked by prayer, remembrance, and stillness, ending in silence as we keep watch with Christ.
