5 and 6 September: With about 30 people in the gompa and more that 40 individuals or groups on Zoom, the 2026 Planetary Crisis Summit at Nalanda Monastery has been very successful!

The 2026 Planetary Crises Summit started this morning with 30 motivated people in the gompa and many people on Zoom.
This hybride format aim to bring awareness on how wisdom and compassion can help us to face and hopefully reduce the climate changes.

Planetary Crises Summit 2026 at Nalanda Monastery, 5 & 6 September.
This summer we experienced heat waves, droughts and fires across Europe, and now a devastating flood in Nepal took many lives. Today we experience what scientists have warned about since decades. Why is humanity not acting? How can we as Dharma practitioners make a difference? The teachings of the Buddha are offering many solutions to the current crisis because its root is a crisis of the mind.
You are invited to explore these topics during a weekend of inspiring talks, discussions, meditations and workshops, either at Nalanda Monastery or on Zoom.

Compassion in action !
In light of the catastrophic flooding that recently hit Nepal and Tibet, the FPMT Emergency Relief Fund is providing immediate support to those impacted by the flooding that occurred on August 26 along the Bhote Koshi River on the Nepal-Tibet border. FPMT is working directly with Kopan Monastery to identify those most in need and help ensure that support reaches affected families directly.
