Dear All,
As many of you will know, tomorrow, 21st July, marks the beginning of the annual series of organ concerts in Condom Cathedral. Entry is free; voluntary contributions are requested on the way out. And it's a nice, cool place to sit while you wait for the food trucks ...........

Dear All,
I'm sure you are all aware that the current heat wave will be continuing -and worsening- next week, and having talked to John, we have agreed that it would be best to cancel next Thursday's service rather than run the risk of people driving in the heat of the day.
Since we have been here, this is the first time that such a decision has had to be made. Let's hope that all being well, we'll be able to meet again in July.

This Thursday, 28th May at 11.00H our chaplain, the Reverend John Bavington, will be celebrating the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost with a service of Holy Communion.
This is a specially joyous time in the church year and I look forward to sharing it with you. Do bring friends: all are welcome.

Next Thursday our Chaplain, the Reverend John Bavington, will be celebrating Holy Communion at 11am and the service will be followed by our local annual meeting.
This is an important time when we look over the past year and also look to the future of our community. Please plan to attend if you possibly can.

NOTICES Some invitations before we start our worship:

1. Please join us on zoom, for a half hour of prayer for the ministry of the Chaplaincy in 2026 on Tuesdays at 6.30pm.
2. Also on Tuesday’s, from 3rd February, our Chaplain, John Bavington will be hosting an online Bible study from 7.30-8.30pm, which will start by looking at Ephesians.

3. In Advent, John invited everyone to partake in a ‘Weekly day of Prayer and Fasting’. He invites us again to do so again in Lent – starting with Ash Wednesday and then continuing each Wednesday until Easter. People will find a practice that works for them. A suggested practice is to eat an evening meal and then miss breakfast and lunch and then eat again the next evening, using the time usually taken for preparing and eating meals in prayer.
4. "The Bible in a Day" will be held at the Protestant temple in Talence on 14th March 2026 from 9.30-4.00pm. This is a completely free event (with a retiring collection in aid of the Chaplaincy of Aquitaine). It is a 'Bring your own lunch', but other refreshments will be provided. John will be teaching the big story of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, using visuals and storytelling with practical application to our Christian life. Along the way we will explore some important themes and ideas which run all through the Scriptures, such as 'Kingship' and 'Covenant'. Please put this in your diary today! All welcome.
