OUR SERVICES? - Our Anglican services are in English. WHO ARE WE? - Church of England forms of worship are used for our services and everyone is very welcome to join us. We are open-minded, international and enjoy exploring the Christian faith in its many and diverse expressions. Our congregation is varied and includes:
- Working parents with young families
- Teenagers
- Single adults
- Students
and research associates at the local University and Medical Schools
- Expats and Retirees
- A multinational congregation from around the world including Africa, Canada, China, France, New Zealand, Singapour, UK, USA etc
- Fellowship and Community with 'Sunday School', 'Teen Discussion', 'Wine and Words' and 'Picnic Play Reading' groups. We enjoy a good standard of music and are not afraid to experiment with more modern styles of hymns and music and we also plan to develop our choir which at present rehearses from October for the Christmas Carol service and also for Easter. Our Carol Service typically attracts c300 people. The Chaplaincy celebrated 190 years in Bordeaux and Aquitaine in 2015. SUNDAY SCHOOL AND TEEN DISCUSSION GROUPS meet regularly each month (except during August)
The dates always coincide with Holy Communion services. In this way, children can attend Sunday School or the Teen Group leaving their parents to continue with the service. The children return before the Eucharist so that families can all take communion together as a family unit
COMMUNION SERVICES AND ALL AGE SERVICES are also designed to include the children as much as possible. Please keep an eye on the service schedule. WINE AND WORDS GROUP meet monthly on a Friday evening in Bordeaux
We gather for a discussion on life, faith, and the world around us after work on two Friday's per month in a bar/cafe/pub in Bordeaux. We have a good discussion over a nice drink and then most, if not all, adjourn to eat in one of Bordeaux's numerous restaurants. PICNIC AND PLAY READING GROUP normally meet once per month after the service and more regularly when rehearsing a project. Please click the 'Events' tab for more information. We are also live on twitter ( )
