EECMY Bible Translation and Scripture Engagement Ministry A number of Linguistic group has been reached out! This initiative has continued by the missionaries up to the formation of the EECMY, in 1959.

The EECMY has been engaged in vernacular Bible translation since the beginning to the1880s, when Onesmos Nesib started translating the bible into the Oromo language (largest

Especially, after the formation of the church vernacular Bible translation has continued having been given special attention and widening its scope to reach out to a number of linguistic groups in the nation. At present, there are twenty plus vernacular Bible translation projects running under the umbrella of the EECMY. Some of these projects are directly connected to the head office of the church, while others are running independently under her units in a fragmented manner having been supported by various funders.
