የኢትዮጵያ ወንጌላዊት ሉተራን ቤተክርስቲያን 53ኛ ዓመታዊ ጉባዔ ከሀምሌ 23-24 2018ዓ.ም. በቢሾፍቱ (ደብረዘይት)ተካሄዷል።
በእነዚህ ሁለት ቀናት የጸሎት:የቃል እና የአምልኮ ጊዜ የነበረ ሲሆን: በተጨማሪም የአገልግሎትየስራና የሂሳብ ሪፖርቶች: የወደፊቱ የቤተክርስቲያኒቱ የአገልግሎትን የሚመለከት ጥናታዊ ጽሁፍ ቀርበዋል። በሌላ በኩል የቤተክርስቲያኒቱን የወደፊት የአገልግሎት አቅጣጫ የሚያመለክት ስልታዊ ዕቅድ እንዲሁም ሌሎች ለመንፈሳዊ እና ለአስተዳደርዊ ጉዳዮች የሚውሉ መጽፍሃትና ጽሁፎች ቀርበዋል።
በመጨረሻም አዲስ ለተመረጡት የቤተክርስቲያኒቱ ፕሬዘደንት ቄስ አወቀ ጨፋ የመልካም ምኞት የኬክ መቁረስ ፕሮግራምና አዲስ ለተመረጡት የስራ አስፈጻሚ ኮሚቴ አባላት ጸሎት በማድረግ ጉባዔው ተፈጽሟል።

The 53rd Annual Assembly of the Ethiopian Evangelical Lutheran Church (EELC) was held in Bishoftu (Debre Zeyit) on July 30- 31, 2026.
The two-day event featured times of prayer, the Word of God, and worship; additionally, ministry reports and a study paper regarding the church's future ministry were presented. Furthermore, a strategic plan outlining the church's future ministry direction, along with other documents and publications addressing spiritual and administrative matters, were introduced.
The assembly concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony to offer best wishes to the newly elected church president, Rev. Aweke Chefa, and a prayer for the newly elected members of the executive committee.

የቤተክርስቲያናችን ፕሬዚዳንት ቄስ አወቀ ጨፋ በChristian leadership የማስተርስ ዲግሪ በመመረቅዎ እርስዎ እና ቤተሰብዎ እንዲሁም ቤተክርስቲያን በመላው እንኳን ደስ ያለን!

Congratulations to our church president, Rev. Aweke Chefa, and, his family and, the entire church, on his graduation with Master's degree in Christian leadership!

Rev. Eyob Dinku Tadesse, Rector of Assela Theological Seminary of Ethiopian Evangelical Lutheran Church (EELC), received his Master of Sacred Theology (STM) on March 8 at the annual commencement held at Lutheran School of Theology in Gothenburg (LSTG), CTSFW's international extension site for the STM program. EELC President Rev. Awoke Chefa Bedasso gave a beautiful decorative plaque with a letter to CTSFW as an expression of his thanks for the solid theological education that CTSFW offered to Rev. Tadesse together with LSTG. Dr. Naomichi Masaki, Director of STM, brought the plaque back to CTSFW and delivered it to President Jon Bruss and Provost Charles Gieschen.
