💥🙌Moses’ Outstretched Hands and the Victory of the CrossWhenever Moses’ hands were lifted up and supported by Aaron and Hur, the Amalekites could not prevail. But the moment his hands grew weary and were lowered, Israel began to lose, and Amalek gained the advantage.Exodus 17:11–13“Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed.”As Moses’ hands became heavy, Aaron and Hur brought a stone for him to sit on. Standing on either side of him, they held up his hands until sunset. Because his hands remained steady, Joshua defeated Amalek and his army with the sword.💥 Think about it!Moses’ outstretched hands were a prophetic shadow of Jesus Christ.Instead of Moses standing on the hill with lifted hands, our Lord Jesus Christ stretched out both of His hands on the cross, where they were pierced with nails.Israel’s victory depended on Moses’ uplifted hands. Our eternal victory rests on the finished work of Christ on the cross.Moses himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared that God would raise up a Prophet like him. That Prophet is Jesus Christ—the One to whom Moses pointed. The nail-pierced hands of Jesus accomplished what no human effort ever could. The work completed on the cross is our victory. When we think about victory today, we must look to the cross. What Christ accomplished there is not merely enough it is more than enough.Jesus’ hands were pierced so that: • We might triumph over eternal death. • We might have victory over the ruler of this dark world. • We might overcome every power of darkness and every spiritual force of evil.Hallelujah! Glory be to God, who gives us the victory!May our eyes never drift from the finished work of Christ. Every victory we will ever need has its foundation at the cross.Moses was only a shadow who secured victory over an earthly enemy. Christ is the substance who secured an eternal victory over sin, death, Satan, and the powers of darkness forever.Colossians 2:14–15“Having canceled the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands, He set it aside, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”Therefore, confess this by faith:“The Lord Jesus Christ is the answer to every need in my life. Jesus is our complete and perfect answer. Through His finished work on the cross, I have victory now and forever. Hallelujah!” 🙌🔥ER. Prophet Abel
