All ORIASC-HCB halal staffs have successfully completed training on auditor skills on food standards on GSO 2055-1 and 993 which is delivered by "International Halal Training Center, KSA" for 4 days 17-20/01/2024.

Alhamdulillah we have successfully completed four days specialized GSO (993, 2055-1, 9 and 1694) Halal training with all HCB staffs (halal supervisors, technical and sheria auditors and Halal decision committee) of Oromiya Region Islamic Affairs Supreme Council

Halal food is that which adheres to Islamic law, as defined in the Qura'n. The Islamic form of slaughtering Animals or poultry, dhabiha, involves killing through a one cut to the jugular veins, carotid artery, esophagus and trachea. Animals must be alive and healthy at the time of slaughter and all blood is drained from the carcass. Citing any part of the Animal is strictly prohibited before complete death. And there should be a Halal Supervisor/checker to be available to supervisor the halal slaughtering activities and meat processing.
