We are delighted to announce the programme of our traditional 8th Karmapa & Ngöndro retreat at Karma Guen and the Enlightenment Stupa in Benalmádena, Spain.

Date: September 18th to 27th, 2026.

Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche will join us and offer teachings and initiations during the event.

The 8th Karmapa retreat will be led by Lama Ole’s student, Michael Fuchs.

Everyone is welcome to come! As always, we will have a separate gompa for Ngöndro practice.

Transmission of the Kagyu Ngagdzod in 2027
by H.E. Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche at Karma Guen

In fulfillment of the aspirations long held by our teachers, Lama Ole and Hannah Nydahl, and under the guidance of His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, His Eminence Jamgön Kongtrul Rinpoche has most graciously accepted the request to bestow the exceedingly rare and precious Kagyu Ngagdzod Empowerments at Karma Guen.

We are pleased to confirm that this month-long, historic transmission will take place from 15th September to 25th October 2027 at Karma Guen, the Karma Kagyu Diamond Way retreat center in Spain.

Save the date — we warmly invite you to join us for this rare and precious occasion.

More information about the event and the calendar of the Empowerments will follow soon in August.

The International Institute for Tibetan and Asian Studies (ITAS) is offering a three-day course to learn the Tibetan alphabet in cooperation with the University of Malaga (UMA). This is a beginner’s course. The course can be attended on-site at the University of Malaga or online.
