Finalizan los trabajos de restauración del retablo de la Virgen de Belén.
Tras casi ocho meses de intervención, la Catedral de Sevilla ha concluido la restauración del retablo de la Virgen de Belén y de los elementos pétreos asociados a la capilla.
Esta actuación integral ha permitido recuperar parte de sus valores artísticos, mejorar su estabilidad estructural y devolver unidad visual al conjunto.
Los trabajos han hecho posible la recuperación de dorados originales, la consolidación de elementos del retablo y la reconstrucción de piezas desaparecidas, entre ellas determinadas cornisas y elementos tallados.
La restauración ha sido realizada por los especialistas Almudena Fernández y José Joaquín Fijo, con la participación de Jaime Hernández y Francisco Arteaga en los elementos de piedra.
Una nueva intervención patrimonial que forma parte del compromiso del Cabildo con la conservación y puesta en valor del patrimonio histórico y artístico de la Catedral.
Restoration work on the altarpiece of the Virgin of Bethlehem has been completed.
After nearly eight months of intervention, Seville Cathedral has completed the restoration of the altarpiece of the Virgin of Bethlehem and the stone elements associated with the chapel.
This comprehensive project has helped recover part of its artistic value, improve its structural stability, and restore the visual unity of the ensemble.
The work included the recovery of original gilding, the consolidation of elements of the altarpiece, and the reconstruction of missing pieces, including cornices and carved details.
The restoration was carried out by specialists Almudena Fernández and José Joaquín Fijo, with the participation of Jaime Hernández and Francisco Arteaga on the stone elements.
