Yesterday we welcomed back members of our church after the summer holidays.
There was much to talk about over coffee and biscuits !

We had a wonderful sermon from Ruth on the well known story of Martha and Mary and
celebrated many answers to prayers during our time of testimonies.
All in all a Sunday to remember.

Mark 10 v13-16
Trust in God with a child like faith.
Be persistent like a toddler asking why, but why ?!
We were asked “what or who gets in the way of our journey with Christ ?”
Great question !
We can all give many different answers, as the world we live in is full of distractions to pull us away from our journey with God….
What hinders YOU from stepping into the kingdom of God ?

Sunday our church service was all about when the disciples asked Jesus “ teach us how to pray “ and he answered with what we, today,call the Lord prayer. Luke 11.2-4

We also enjoyed a new singer amongst our midst!

Today we talked about not allowing ourselves to fade away from Jesus and the church.
It’s such a common tale to hear of Christian’s who were once on fire for the Lord but through lifes journeys simply fade away from the light of the world.
As Christians we need to look into our own life’s to see if we may have faded.
And pray for our friends and family who have faded away.
NEVER LET GO!

What a wonderful celebration we had Sunday Morning 28th June.
A baby dedication on her 1st birthday!
She slept though the whole time of her dedication but at least she couldn’t walk away !
The day after she came into the world the verse of the day that came up in my app. was Jeremiah 1:5

““Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.””

God left us 2 commandments

1. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

2. Love your neighbour as yourself.
This was demonstrated by Alan using a heart drawn on a piece of paper. As he cut pieces off from the heart there became more straight sides…
God gives back more than we give away…

As God opens doors for us we need to go through them! Remembering if God closes a door we shouldn’t revisit it. The more we come out of our comfort zone and give the more of Gods love we will receive.

What a great day for our church !
We welcomed 5 from our regular congregations into full membership.
These 5 people were publicly showing a commitment to God.
“…. With God’s help I will “ they answered various questions about their faith.
And we the congregation pledged to support them by publicly saying …. “With Gods help will.”
And what a song to welcome them into our church with the words … “I am a child of God”
How blessed are we to be children of God.
