Today we celebrated the arrival of our 2 new ministers, Allan and Ruth. The official handing over - a commissioning service, lead by the out going pastor Nick and his wife Linda.
It was a service full of the love for God.
There was a tangible feeling of Christian family togetherness. The Holy Spirit was definitely moving amongst us.
Heavenly Father we pray for the members and friends of the Church who missed this significant moment for whatever reason ;You Lord know their reasons.
We pray for Michael and Lesley who would have travelled the earth to be with us if it had been possible.
Thank you to all who provided food and drink to make it a day of fellowship too.
We thank you lord for healthy appetites so we could enjoy the buffet in its full.

We learnt this very comforting verse from psalms today with the help of images of the kangaroo!
Kangaroos have large radar- like ears and can hear noises from over 500 yards away.
Our Lord has large ears ! He will hear us whether we shout for help or whisper our woes. We don’t even have to speak as God hears all our thoughts too-
BECAUSE he cares for us.

Yesterday was the 1st Sunday in advent. We lit the candle that represents hope also called the
Prophecy Candle.
It represents the hope and expectation of the coming Messiah, as foretold by the Old Testament prophets. Lighting it marks the beginning of the Advent season—a time of anticipation, preparation, and looking forward to the arrival of Christ at Christmas.
