Heavenly Father,

This morning I come before You with a heart full of longing and humility. I ask, Lord, that You pour out a revival of the fire of the Holy Spirit upon every brother and sister in the faith. May that fire not be temporary, but an eternal fire that transforms, purifies, and consumes everything that does not please You.

Revive them, Lord—not just so they may hear Your word, but so they may live according to it. May they not be hearers only, but doers; may every teaching of Christ be lived out with courage, with love, with power, and with truth.

Make us more like Jesus Christ:

That we may love as He loved,
That we may serve as He served,
That we may forgive as He forgave,
That we may walk in obedience and power as He walked.

Awaken sleeping hearts, ignite extinguished passions, and renew the faith of the weary. Holy Spirit, breathe upon Your church. May our lives be living evidence of Your Kingdom here on earth.

In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen. ✝️🕎

Hallelujah! Jesus has risen! (God’s not dead)

Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here. He has risen, as He said.

How many dreams, marriages, families, jobs, businesses, ministries, bodies or hopes appear dead? Our word of encouragement to you is: remember what Jesus said. He is alive. He is the risen Lord. He has overcome sin and death and made a way for us to overcome, to be victorious in any and every situation, no matter what. Is there anything too hard for God? Is He not the Creator? Is He not the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last?

Is He not the giver of dreams? His Word says that when we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our heart. Is He not the One who ordained marriage? His Word says that a three pronged cord is not easily broken. Is He not our Heavenly Father? Are we not His children? He is the Restorer. He can mend every broken heart and every broken relationship. Does not promotion come from the Lord? His Word says, “Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us and establish the work of our hands, yes establish the work of our hands.” (Not all work is paid, some of the most important jobs do not pay a penny, but the Lord values it all, mums!) Is He not the Healer? If by His stripes we WERE healed, (When? At the cross) then we ARE healed. (When? Now!) Believe it. Receive it. Lay hold of it. Walk in it. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. We find our hope in Christ Jesus and He is the Word made flesh. So when we see what His Word says, hope is born, then as we keep the Word before our eyes, in our ears, hide it in our hearts and speak it out of our mouths, faith comes, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Is He not the Amen? He is the final authority, or should be in our lives. His Word is final and He said, “It is finished!” Hallelujah! Jesus is alive!

So let our response be, “Live in Jesus’ name!” May Resurrection power be released in every area of our lives. Jesus is risen, so victory is assured.

Be blessed in Jesus’ name this Resurrection celebration time!

We love you!

The Real Fountain of Youth

Now on the first day of the week . . . the disciples came together to break bread.

Acts 20:7

Let me tell you why I believe the holy Communion is more powerful than any medicine, any medical procedure, any antibiotic, and any chemotherapy used to heal our bodies. Let me tell you why I believe the holy Communion is the proverbial “fountain of youth” mankind has been in search of for generations and why I believe every time we partake of it, we are causing our youth to be renewed like the eagle’s (Ps. 103:5).

The earth has been under a divine judgment ever since Adam sinned. Aging, disease, and death are all part of this divine sentence.

The reality is, we live in a fallen world and these effects of the divine sentence are happening to our mortal bodies. But God never intended for His children to suffer any of it.

That is why He sent His Son to bear our sins and sicknesses on the cross. That is why He provided the holy Communion as a way to escape the divine judgment that is on this world, to offset its effects.

The holy Communion is a supernatural channel for His health and wholeness to flow into our bodies. While the world is getting weaker and sicker, I believe we are getting stronger and healthier each time we partake of the Communion by faith!

The early church clearly understood how powerful the Communion is. That’s why the Bible tells us they broke bread “from house to house” (Acts 2:46).

When they met on Sunday, the main reason wasn’t to hear preaching and teaching—“The disciples came together to break bread” (Acts 20:7). Even though the apostle Paul was the guest speaker that weekend, the main reason they gathered was to break bread.

If people today knew the magnitude of the power contained within the Lord’s Supper, they would be like the early church, partaking of the Lord’s Supper as often as they could and receiving as many of His benefits as they could. We have been robbed, people! It’s time to wake up!

Resurrection Life - 12 March 2023

Overcome Satan By The Blood Of The Lamb And The Word Of My Testimony, And I Do Not Love My Life To The Death
Leviticus 17:11 says, “The life of the flesh is in the blood.” When Jesus poured out His blood, He poured out His life. As I understand it, the life of God was released into the universe. And no mind can really comprehend the fullness of what that means.

“Then Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly [of utmost importance], I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.’” (John 6:53–54)
Bear in mind that our redemption is not complete until the resurrection. In Philippians 3:12, Paul said, “Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me,” which is “the resurrection from the dead” (verse 11).

Some people have the impression that their bodies are not very important. But God says our bodies are very important—they are temples for the Holy Spirit. They are “fearfully and wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14). And God is not going to leave our bodies in a state of decay. He is going to resurrect them with glory like that of Jesus. Redemption is the full outworking of Jesus’ sacrifice, and it is consummated by the resurrection.

Prayer Response
Thank You, Lord, for the blood of the Lamb. Like Paul, “I press on…that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” I proclaim that I overcome Satan by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony, and I do not love my life to the death. Amen.

Been Toiling All Night?

The goodness of God leads you to repentance.

Romans 2:4

Famished and fatigued from working all night at sea and catching nothing, Peter and his crew of fishermen carried their fishing nets to shore as the golden sun rose over the Galilean horizon. As they began washing their nets, large numbers of people began to throng the waterfront. Then Peter saw the man everyone was crowding to see.

Before Peter knew it, this man headed in his direction and got into his boat! He then gestured to Peter, and Peter and his crew instinctively grabbed their nets and went back into the boat. The man smiled warmly at Peter and asked if Peter could push the boat out some distance from the shore.

By this time, the waterfront was blanketed with people eager to hear this man speak. Peter turned to his seasoned crew and instructed them to push the boat out. The crew responded swiftly to their captain and watched as the man sat down by the edge of the boat and began teaching the multitudes gathered on the shore.

When he was done speaking, he turned to Peter and requested that Peter and his men launch out into the deep and let down their nets for a catch. The request stung Peter’s heart and he explained to the man that they had been fishing all night and had caught nothing. Nevertheless, he was willing to comply with the man’s request.

Peter found himself wondering, What would a carpenter from Nazareth know about fishing? Peter had been fishing in these waters since he was a youth and knew the most opportune time to fish—definitely not this late in the morning!

As the boat reached the deep waters, Peter just went through the motions and cast one net into the water. One net, he thought, was enough to prove his point that there simply weren’t any fish to be caught!

Had it been anyone else—anyone but this man who carried himself with quiet authority and a warm friendliness—he would have scoffed at the request. But this man . . . something in his voice and carriage just made Peter acquiesce to his request more readily than his head knew why and despite every instinct telling him nothing was going to happen.

What happened next stunned Peter.

It was as if the net suddenly became a fish magnet! Massive schools of large tilapia rushed into the net from every direction, straining its capacity until it began to tear as Peter and his men began to haul up this unprecedented load of fish.

The amazed and frantic fishermen quickly hollered to their friends in another boat to come and help them. Now two boats were lined up side by side, with both crews hauling fish into their boats. The men worked furiously, loading onto the boats the thrashing fish with their silver scales glistening in the sun . . . until both boats were so full of fish that they began to sink!

Blown away by what he was witnessing, Simon Peter knelt before Jesus and proclaimed, “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!” (Luke 5:8).

Let me ask you this question: which came first—Peter’s repentance or God’s blessing? Under the new covenant of grace, God blesses you first, and His blessings, favor, and overflowing love lead you to repentance!

Peter and his crew of mariners had toiled painstakingly all night and caught nothing. Then, when Jesus stepped for the first time into his boat, Peter’s business suddenly experienced a surge beyond his wildest imagination.

Today, the same thing can happen to you in your career, family, or health, as you open your heart to receive the Lord’s goodness and love.

My Body Is For The Lord - 11 March 2023

My Members, The Parts Of My Body, Are Instruments Of Righteousness, Yielded To God For His Service And For His Glory
“Present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.” (Romans 6:13)
We give our physical members to God and say, “God, You use them.” Then, we also have to keep the temple holy. Paul wrote:

“Now the body is not for s*xual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body” (1 Corinthians 6:13)
Today, we call s*xual immorality “premarital s*x.” But God has not changed His estimate of this sin. The body is not for premarital s*x; the body is for the Lord. And then, “the Lord [is] for the body,” too. Isn’t that wonderful? If we give our bodies to the Lord, then the Lord is for our bodies.

Paul was a down to earth man who talked to people about things that really concerned them. He continued:

“Flee s*xual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits s*xual immorality sins against his own body” (verse 18)
Many people interpret this passage as a warning about s*xually transmitted diseases, such as HIV, gonorrhea, or syphilis. These may certainly be consequences of s*xual immorality, but Paul’s teaching means much more than that. We endanger the health of our bodies when we commit any kind of immorality. Many times when Christians seek healing and do not receive it, the root cause is immorality. In most cases, God demands that we go to the root cause, repent of it, and set it aright before we can receive healing from Him.

Prayer Response
Thank You, Jesus, for Your victory on the cross. I give my body to the Lord, proclaiming that my members, the parts of my body, are instruments of righteousness, yielded to God for His service and for His glory. Amen.

Let’s get back to focus on the majesty, simplicity, mystery and unfathomable beauty of JESUS.

There may be many things that seem needful, but the Lord tells us only one thing is needful: to sit at His feet and draw from His presence and His Word (Luke 10:42).

As you do this today, whatever difficult circumstances you are facing, may you find Him setting you free from worry and anxiety and directing your steps!

Eating Fresh

Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh.

Hebrews 10:19–20

When God provided manna for the children of Israel in the wilderness, Moses told the people, “Let no one leave any of it till morning” (Ex. 16:19). When some of them did not heed Moses’ words and kept some till the next morning, it bred worms and stank.

This reminds me of the law that the children of Israel had to observe when they brought the peace offering for thanksgiving: “The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offering for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day it is offered. He shall not leave any of it until morning” (Lev. 7:15).

These two verses speak of partaking fresh and not leaving the manna or the meat from the sacrifice to turn stale. In the same way, whenever we partake of the holy Communion, let’s ask the Lord for a fresh revelation of what He did for us at the cross.

Let’s not ever become so familiar with the holy Communion that we start to see it as common and ordinary. We are holding the broken body of the Son of God and drinking of His shed blood.

Would you like to have a fresh revelation of the holy Communion? In today’s Scripture passage, God’s Word tells us that through the cross, our Lord Jesus consecrated a “new and living way” for us to draw near to God not with fear and trepidation but with boldness. He allowed His own flesh to be torn so that we can have free access to our loving Father today.

I want to draw your attention to the original Greek word used for new here. It is the word prosphatos and it means “lately slaughtered, freshly killed.” Why did the Holy Spirit use this unusual word here?

Because whenever you partake of the holy Communion, God does not want you to partake as though you are commemorating a historical event that took place long ago. The cross transcends time. As you partake of the holy Communion in remembrance of Him, see your Lord Jesus before you, as though you are right there at Calvary.

See your Lord Jesus freshly slain, bearing all your sicknesses and carrying all your pains. Don’t partake ritualistically, but press in for a fresh revelation of His love that was demonstrated at the cross.

1 John 3 The Message version

Was reading this just now and it really spoke to me especially the bit about self-criticism….

Please meditate on what it says….. there’s just no room for self-criticism!

When We Practice Real Love

18-20 My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality. It’s also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves.

21-24 And friends, once that’s taken care of and we’re no longer accusing or condemning ourselves, we’re bold and free before God! We’re able to stretch our hands out and receive what we asked for because we’re doing what he said, doing what pleases him. Again, this is God’s command: to believe in his personally named Son, Jesus Christ. He told us to love each other, in line with the original command. As we keep his commands, we live deeply and surely in him, and he lives in us. And this is how we experience his deep and abiding presence in us: by the Spirit he gave us.
