Ante las catastróficas inundaciones que afectaron recientemente a Nepal y el Tíbet, la FPMT ha puesto en marcha el Fondo de Ayuda de Emergencia de la FPMT para brindar apoyo inmediato a las comunidades damnificadas. Este fondo asiste a personas y familias afectadas por desastres naturales, situaciones de emergencia en centros y proyectos de la FPMT, así como otras crisis urgentes que requieren una respuesta rápida.

Actualmente, estamos utilizando este fondo para recaudar ayuda destinada a los afectados por las inundaciones ocurridas el 26 de agosto a lo largo del río Bhote Koshi, en la frontera entre Nepal y el Tíbet. Las aguas han arrasado aldeas enteras, viviendas, carreteras, puentes e infraestructuras esenciales en el distrito de Rasuwa y las zonas colindantes. La magnitud de este desastre aún está por determinarse; hay muchas personas cuyo paradero se desconoce y comunidades enteras han sido desplazadas.
La FPMT está colaborando directamente con el Monasterio de Kopan para identificar a quienes más lo necesitan y garantizar que la ayuda llegue directamente a las familias afectadas.

In light of the catastrophic flooding that recently hit Nepal and Tibet, FPMT has launched the FPMT Emergency Relief Fund to provide immediate support to affected communities. This fund assists individuals and families impacted by natural disasters, emergency situations at FPMT centers and projects, and other urgent crises requiring swift aid.

We are currently utilizing this fund to raise relief funds for those impacted by the flooding that occurred on August 26 along the Bhote Koshi River on the Nepal-Tibet border. The floodwaters have swept away entire villages, homes, roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure across Rasuwa and neighboring districts. The scale of this disaster is still unfolding, with many people remaining unaccounted for and entire communities displaced.
FPMT is working directly with Kopan Monastery to identify those most in need and help ensure that support reaches affected families directly.
