✨ "¿Sabían que Dios es el único matemático? Porque Dios es amor y solo el amor cuenta"
Con este toque de humor, sin duda ingeniosa e inventada por ella misma, Rebecca Sattler, misionera idente e ingeniera informática, cerró uno de los momentos más importantes de su vida: la Profesión Perpetua, celebrada hoy, sábado 29 de agosto de 2026, en la Parroquia de San Matthias Berlín-Schöneberg, en presencia de nuestro presidente de los Misionarias y Misioneros Identes, P. Luis Casasús.
La ceremonia, transmitida en directo por el canal de YouTube de la comunidad parroquial de St. Matthias Schöneberg, permitió a toda la comunidad y a los amigos acompañarla desde cualquier lugar.
Rebecca pronunció sus votos perpetuos durante la celebración litúrgica, sellando así su compromiso con la comunidad.
💬 Algunas de Sus Palabras
"Dios ama una vez, pero su amor es para siempre. Y esta frase fue para mí también una confirmación más de esta profesión perpetua, que puedo estar segura de que Su 'sí' está ahí. Mi 'sí' también está ahí ahora. Tengo que reafirmarlo siempre. Y no puedo resistirme a contar al final un pequeño chiste que se me ocurrió. Lo siento. ¿Sabían que Dios es el único matemático? Porque Dios es amor y solo el amor cuenta."
Y así es: alguien capaz de dominar algoritmos y código binario ha elegido entregar su vida para siempre a Cristo y a la Iglesia. Porque, como ella misma dice, solo el amor cuenta.

"Eso es lo que le deseo hoy, querida hermana Rebecca, que sea feliz. Y así como las parejas de esposos se prometen estar juntos en los días buenos y en los días difíciles, cuando lleguen días difíciles, simplemente quítese su anillo y mírelo. Y entonces puede pensar en Aquel al que hoy promete amor y fidelidad. Creo que Él está con usted. Y creo que entonces el camino será realmente un camino que puede llevar a la felicidad."
Con palabras misma del P. Luis Casasús: "agradecemos a la Diócesis, representada por el Arzobispo, por su siempre magnífica acogida de la vida consagrada. Nuestro profundo agradecimiento al párroco Josef Wieneke, a los concelebrantes y a toda la comunidad parroquial, así como a la querida familia de Rebecca y a todos los consagrados presentes en esta jornada tan especial. Nos comprometemos alegres a rezar por Rebecca y a no serle obstáculo, en la medida en que podamos."

With this joke—undoubtedly clever and invented by herself—Rebecca Sattler, Idente missionary and computer engineer, closed one of the most important moments of her life: her Perpetual Profession, celebrated today, Saturday, August 29, 2026, at St. Matthias Parish-Schöneberg in Berlin, in the presence of our President of the Idente Missionaries, Fr. Luis Casasús.
The ceremony, broadcast live on the YouTube channel of the St. Matthias Schöneberg parish community, allowed the entire community and friends to accompany her from anywhere.
Rebecca pronounced her perpetual vows during the liturgical celebration, thus sealing her commitment to the community.
💬 Some of Her Words
"God loves once, but his love is forever. And this phrase was also another confirmation for me of this perpetual profession, so I can be sure that His 'yes' is there. My 'yes' is here now too. I have to reaffirm it again and again. And I can't help but tell a little joke at the end that I came up with. I'm sorry. Did you know that God is the only mathematician? Because God is love, and only love counts."
And that's exactly it: someone capable of mastering algorithms and binary code has chosen to give her life forever to Christ and to the Church. Because, as she herself says, only love counts.
🙏 Message of prelate Dr. Stefan Dybowski, responsible of the religious orders in the diocese of Berlin:
"That is what I wish for you today, dear Sister Rebecca—that you be happy. And just as married couples promise to be together in good times and in difficult times, when difficult days come, simply take off your ring and look at it. And then you can think of Him to whom you promise love and fidelity today. I believe He is with you. And I believe that then the path will truly be a path that can lead to happiness."
Echoing the words of Fr. Luis Casasús: "We give thanks to the Diocese, represented by the Archbishop, for its always magnificent reception of consecrated life. Our deep gratitude to the parish priest Josef Wieneke, to the concelebrants and to the entire parish community, as well as to Rebecca's beloved family and to all the consecrated present on this very special day.
We commit ourselves joyfully to pray for Rebecca and to be no obstacle to her, to the extent that we are able."
