MOLBC Devotional Message 11th August, 2018.

Topic : Be Content.

Proverbs 15:
15. All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
16. Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith.
17. Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.

Contentment brings joy. When you are joyful in spite of your needs or challenges, you receive quick solution or the problem suddenly fades into insignificance. This is how God wants us to live our lives as believers. Be joyful, no matter what, it shames the devil and keeps him from you. The little you have with the fear of God is worth more than the whole world. The fear of God keeps you in peace and love and you will enjoy you little better than those who have plenty in the midst of hatred and without the fear or love of God. Appreciate God for what you have and be content. Don't bring yourself sorrows by reaching out for what God has not given you. Remember, godliness with contentment is great gain (1 Timothy 6 : 6 ). Shalom!

Thank You my Father, my Lord for Your word. Help me to always be content with what You have given me so I can enjoy Your joy, peace and love, in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
