Today in church our blessed sister Sharon Donald told us the story of Job.

Job was a good and wealthy man who loved God. Satan argued with God that Job is only faithful because his life is easy, and so God allowed Job to be tested because He knew that Jobs’s faith was unshakeable.

One disaster after another hit Job. He lost his wealth, his children, and his health. But even so, he refused to turn against God, though he struggled to understand why all this was happening to him.

His friends told him that he must have done something wrong to deserve it, but Job insisted he hadn’t. God is not vengeful and He doesn’t punish. The argument went back and forth for a long time. But eventually, God spoke to Job, not with a clear answer, but by showing him how much bigger and more complex the world is than humans can fully understand.

In the end, God tells Job’s friends they were wrong, and Job’s life is restored. Job went on to live another 140 years. His wealth, health and family were given back to him.

The story of Job is about a good man who suffers terribly, questions God, stays faithful, and learns that not everything has an easy explanation.

Today in church we were blessed to hear the message from Pastor José who spoke to us about Paul and Silas who were in prison, yet in the midst of their situation and the storm they were going through, they continued to worship and praise the name of God. We are often called to continue worshiping even when everything seems to be going wrong. Taking the example of Paul and Silas, we must choose to worship and praise God especially when we are going through difficult times. Many of us face challenges and storms in life. Sometimes we feel discouraged, afraid, or overwhelmed. But the Lord is always with us, listening to our prayers.

When things don’t go the way we expect, we ask Him to give us the faith to keep trusting Him. When we feel weak, He will remind us of His strength. And when life gets hard, He will help us, like Paul and Silas, to keep worshiping and praising His name, knowing that He is faithful and will never leave us.

The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth.” — Psalm 145:18

Please join us in church on Sunday! Pastor José will be speaking about Acts 16, with Paul and Silas, where we are often called to continue worshiping even when everything seems to be going wrong.

Paul and Silas were in prison, yet in the midst of their situation and the storm they were going through, they continued to worship and praise the name of God.

If you are going through difficult times, don’t lose Hope or Faith. God is always with you and he will hear you! Worship Him and Praise his name, even in your darkest moments.

DON’T LOSE THE FIRE

This Sunday at Acorn church we were reminded that the fire of the Holy Spirit was never meant for just one moment—it was meant to remain in our lives.

Through Acts 3–4, we saw that:
✅ God still uses broken people.
✅ Jesus restores joy to hurting hearts.
✅ A Spirit-filled church cannot stay silent.
✅ Prayer changes atmospheres and invites God to move.

No matter what you are facing today, your weakness does not cancel your purpose. Your pain is not the end of your story. The same fire that came at Pentecost is available for you today.

-The fire is not dead.
-Hope is not dead.
-Your calling is not dead.
-Jesus is still moving in His church.

Yesterday at Acorn church in Hondon, Pastor Steve brought us a Pentecost message to encourage us to get the fire back in our lives. Expect a revival that starts in you and me....then get OUTA THE SEATS AND INTO THE STREETS!
God wants to give us SUPERNATURAL POWER and to be witnesses for Jesus... power that enables us to stand firm in hard places!

When you receive this supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, you can.. Walk across the road, Walk across the room -
And share Jesus with your friends, neighbours and family, then watch God transform their lives from the inside out!

Get your Resurrection Power living on the inside then share it with the world!

Pentecost Sunday is one of the most important celebrations in Christianity. It comes 50 days after Easter and marks the moment when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles of Jesus Christ.

According to the Bible (Acts 2), the apostles were gathered together when suddenly there was a sound like a strong wind, and what looked like tongues of fire appeared above them. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in different languages. This event is often seen as the “birth of the Church,” because it empowered them to go out and spread their message to the world.

Today we had the PLEASURE and PRIVILEGE to hear a PHENOMENAL message from PASTOR MARY WALKER our guest speaker.

PATIENCE is love, waiting, tolerance and PERSEVERANCE, as in Eclesiastes - He has made everything beautiful IN HIS TIME.

Trust the PROCESS, don’t try to force God’s hand prematurely, be a FORWARD FOCUSSED person and remember a WINE believer gets better and sweeter with age but a MILK believer curdles with age. Be a WINE believer!
