Three and a half years ago (June 2016) we started the Haggai's Harvest Bible study. Our purpose was two-fold. First we wanted to provide the Spanish and international community with the most profound study of God's word possible. Secondly, we wanted to meet at a neutral location so that we could have ecumenical participation. The Church in Spain is desperate for unity. We do feel like we accomplished both of these goals.
Last night we finished our final study. Over the 3 1/2 years we studied the Gospel According to John, Revelation, the life, conversion, and ministry of Paul, Galatians, and early Church history (from Jesus to the Dark Ages). It has been such an honor, blessing, and great privilege to fulfill this calling from God.
God has done many beautiful things through this study. First, the study has always been international and ecumenical. We have had people from all over the world participate: China, Columbia, Mexico, Spain, the USA, Guatemala, Honduras, and the list goes on and on. Many of these people have carried what they learned from God's word back to their homelands and are being Ambassadors of Jesus Christ! We have cherished every moment with these brothers and sisters, watching them grow in the knowledge and in their relationship with our Almighty God.
It has also been a pleasure for us to serve those who are serving in the US military overseas. All of these American families, we hope, have found a comfort in our study. Of course our ministry for them goes beyond the Bible study, but it was amazing to watch them grow in God's word with their international family.
One final aspect that we really loved was to witness God answering prayers. People were healed, many found jobs, some had babies. There were so many wonderful things that God has done.
Thank you so much to those who have been praying for this Bible study group over the last four years. Thank you to all who have become apart of our group, even for a short time in your transition. We hope your hunger for God's word continues. God bless all of you!
