𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀
Matthew 4:18–22

When Jesus called His first disciples, He did not invite them to casual belief but to wholehearted followership. True discipleship begins with a personal response to Christ’s call—laying down anything that hinders our love, obedience, growth, and joy in Him (Luke 9:23–24). God is not merely seeking converts who believe in Him, but followers who surrender to Him. In Christ, transformation is both promised and progressive; “𝘪𝘧 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵, 𝘩𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦” (2 Corinthians 5:17). Discipleship is a daily journey of becoming more like Jesus, shaped intentionally by His Word and His will.

Our lives become visible testimonies of Christ to the world, and discipleship multiplies through faithful modeling. The invitation of Jesus is deeply personal, but it is also profoundly purposeful—He calls us not only to be changed, but to be used for His mission (Acts 16:31).

Be Deeply Rooted in Christ
John 15:1–5

We must be deeply rooted in the Lord Jesus Christ, the true Vine—our life and strength. All spiritual nourishment comes from Him (John 14:6; Colossians 2:6–7), and the Father, as the vinedresser, lovingly prunes us so we may bear greater fruit (Hebrews 12:6). Abiding means continual dependence—to remain, dwell, and stay in Christ daily (John 8:31). When we abide, fruitfulness follows (John 15:5). The life rooted in Christ produces visible transformation—the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23), Christlike character (Galatians 2:20), faithful service, and a testimony that points others to Him. To be rooted in Christ is to stay connected to Him in heart, mind, and will—because without Him we wither, but with Him we flourish.

The Family: A Covenant, Not Just a Connection (Part 2)
Ptr. Andrew Mark Moso
Genesis 18:17–19

Human families may fail, but God never abandons His covenant (Jeremiah 31:31–33). From the beginning, humanity fell—yet God immediately responded with a promise of redemption (Genesis 3:15). This reveals the heart of a covenant-keeping God. Covenant does not mean perfection; it means repentance when we fail. When parents confess sin, they model the gospel. When marriages struggle, covenant declares that failure is not the end. God often brings renewal through one faithful generation that chooses to return to Him.

Jesus established the new covenant, securing for us a better promise (Luke 22:20; Hebrews 7:22). In Christ, we are given not only salvation but the responsibility to live differently before our children and before the world. Covenant love asks, “What can I give?” not “What do I get?” In covenant homes, obedience becomes a response of love, not a burden. The home and the church are God’s covenant classrooms—places where faithfulness, repentance, and steadfast love are practiced daily. To live independently from God is to drift toward sin, but we were designed to live together with our Shepherd, reflecting His faithful covenant in our families.
