1.Rasool Allah Sallal lahu walaihi Wasallam said" The best of fasts after the month of Ramadan is in the Month of Allah, which you call Muharram"
(Sahih Muslim).

2. Ibn Abbas said: “I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) so keen to fast any day and give it priority over any other than this day, the day of Ashura and this month (Ramadan). (Bukhari).

3. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “For fasting the day of Ashura, I hope that Allah will accept it as expiation for the year that went before.” (Muslim).

Merits of the Day of ’Arafah.
1.The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, ’The promised day is the Day of Resurrection, and the one witnessed is the Day of ’Arafah, and the witness is Friday. The sun does not rise or set upon a day that is more virtuous than it (i.e. the Day of ‘Arafah)…’ [Tirmidhi].

2. It is a day of immense forgiveness.
The Prophet (saw) said, ’There is no day on which Allah (swt) frees people from the Fire more so than on the Day of ‘Arafah. Indeed, He draws near and then boasts of them to the angels then says, “What do these want?“’ [Muslim].

3.It is when the religion of Islam was perfected.
Laylat al-Qadr is the night when the Qur’an was first sent down. Meanwhile, the Day of ’Arafah is the day when Allah perfected our beautiful religion of Islam.
The final verses of the Qur’an were not yet revealed, but Allah sent down this ayah:
"This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion." (Surah al Maa'idah 5:3).

Prophet (PBUH) was asked about fasting on the day of Arafah, so he said:
"It expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year." (Muslim).

The Prophet (pbuh) also said:
"There is no day on which Allah frees people from the Fire more so than on the day of 'Arafah. He comes close to those (people standing on 'Arafah), and then He reveals before His Angels saying, ‘What are these people seeking." (Muslim)..

Here you can find many zikr with unlimited rewards with reference as well ..
In Shaa Allah this check list will help us to utilize this holy month in more and more fruitful way.

Narated By 'Aisha(R.A.A) : The Prophet(S.A.W.S) said, "If a woman gives in charity from her house meals without wasting (i.e. being extravagant), she will get the reward for her giving, and her husband will also get the reward for his earning and the storekeeper will also get a similar reward. The acquisition of the reward of none of them will reduce the reward of the others."
