I took sometime today meditating on the story of Hannah. To be honest, I have learnt a great deal about the importance of being persistent in what you are praying for if you need a big breathrough.

STORY:

We read in the book of 1 Samuel 1:2-2:21 that Hannah was childless, and it grieved her. Her husband, trying to reassure her, offered unconditional love and personal gifts, thinking these could please her.

However, Hannah would only be satisfied with one thing—a baby boy, meaning she was persistent in what she was praying for. As a result of her persistent prayer, a mighty breakthrough fell on her and she gave birth to Samuel, a future prophet and priest.

LESSON:

When God has placed something on our hearts, even an obstacle, lets learn from Hannah. She was not tempted to settle for anything apart from what she was praying for until a breakthrough was achieved.

Are you persistent in what you are praying for OR, perhaps, challenges have forced you to give up? Be like Hannah.
