Maadi Community Church

Maadi Community Church Our weekly service is on Fridays at 9:30am on the property of St. John the Baptist Church (Rd 17 & Port Said). We offer children's church during the service.

MCC exist to
be an Oasis for Teaching the Word, Proclaiming the Gospel, and Healing the Broken among the English Speaking Expats of Cairo. From over 40 denominations people come to worship Jesus. New life flows freely at this spiritual oasis, creating living streams in the desert. The kingdom of heaven is displayed on faces of every color because hearts are united in Jesus and growing into abundan

ce of life and spiritual fruitfulness. People come to Egypt from more than 40 nations for transformation. Refugees in Cairo display the desperate needs for basic life sustenance, education, skills and employment while sojourning in a foreign land. Therefore, we build relationships with partners who address these needs in the expatriate and even in the Egyptian populations. Many others with material resources still need refuge from difficult circumstances, broken relationships, addictions, shallow faith or hollow success. These are important functions for a people who are called to “Be the Church.”

Our services are held Fridays, 5:00-6:15pm. Youth and other events held throughout the week. For more information, please visit our website.

The idea for the Stations of the Cross began almost 1,700 years ago with pilgrims of the Christian faith making their way to Jerusalem to personally retrace Jesus’ finals steps up to Golgotha where He was crucified. As travel to Jerusalem became more difficult Franciscan monks wanted to make the sacred experience more accessible and created their own version of the "Via Delarosa" in their local communities.
Join Maadi Community Church and St.John's StJohn's Church
