FatwaPro: Trusted Digital Guidance for non-Arabic Speaking Muslims
A Year in Review (2025)
_____________________________________
In 2025, Egypt’s Dar Al-Ifta continued its leadership in serving Muslims worldwide, especially non-Arabic speakers in the West, through its multilingual FatwaPro app, launched in 2022. Over the year, the platform answered 2,475 questions—1,175 in English and 1,300 in French—demonstrating growing trust in reliable digital fatwas.
Family issues topped inquiries at around 40%, followed by inheritance (22%), social participation (18%), worship (14%), and financial matters including digital currencies (20%). Gender-related questions accounted for 10%, reflecting concerns about identity and contemporary social roles. To meet these needs, FatwaPro published 24 scholarly articles and 30 translated fatwas from the Grand M***i, Dr. Nazir 'Ayyad, while also covering relevant news and international outreach. The data highlights the increasing reliance of Western Muslims on accessible, trustworthy Islamic guidance in diverse cultural and legal contexts.
