The summit, taking place on June 12, 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC), brings together prominent religious leaders and decision-makers from around the world to discuss youth empowerment and the promotion of social harmony. The Grand M***i's participation underscores Egypt’s commitment to advancing dialogue, moderation, coexistence, and international cooperation in addressing contemporary challenges and fostering more peaceful and cohesive societies.

Egypt’s M***i Discusses Cooperation with Malaysian Delegation of International Centre for Halal Studies, Highlights FatwaPro App Serving Muslims Globally

His Eminence Dr. Nazir Mohammed Ayyad, Egypt's Grand M***i and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, received a delegation from the International Centre for Halal Studies in Malaysia to explore avenues of cooperation in fatwa issuance, halal industry development, and training.

The Grand M***i highlighted Dar al-Ifta integrated fatwa services, particularly the FatwaPro app, which serves Muslims worldwide and provides multilingual fatwas, enhancing access to reliable religious guidance globally. He also underscored the role of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, which unites 111 institutions from 108 countries to strengthen cooperation and capacity-building among fatwa bodies.

Dr. Ayyad affirmed Dar al-Ifta’s readiness to collaborate with the International Centre for Halal Studies through specialized training programs, Shari'ah consultations, and translation of selected publications into Malay.

The delegation praised Dar al-Ifta’s international standing and expressed interest in expanding academic and research cooperation in fatwa and halal studies.

His Eminence Dr. Nazir Mohamed Ayyad, Grand M***i of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the successful Hajj season of 1447 AH.
Dr. Ayyad commended the Kingdom’s exceptional efforts and comprehensive services, which greatly facilitated the performance of the pilgrimage and ensured the comfort, safety, and well-being of pilgrims. Dr. André Zaki, President of the Evangelical Community in Egypt and a delegation of Evangelical Church leaders, who visited to extend Eid al-Adha greetings and affirm their wishes for Egypt’s continued peace and stability.
Both sides emphasized the strong ties between the Evangelical Church and Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta, highlighting the importance of national unity, coexistence, and solidarity in strengthening social harmony and stability in our homeland.

Egypt–Poland M***is Meet in Cairo to Enhance Religious Cooperation

His Eminence Dr. Nazir Mohammad Ayyad, Grand M***i of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, received Sheikh Tomasz Miśkiewicz, M***i of Poland, in Cairo to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation in religious training and scholarly exchange. The meeting focused on strengthening joint efforts in preparing and training muftis and imams, as well as addressing challenges related to extremism and Islamophobia.
Both sides highlighted the importance of promoting a balanced and moderate understanding of Islam.

Dr. Ayyad presented the global role of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide in gathering Fatwa institutions under one umbrella and the other initiatives, including training programs, research centers, and platforms such as the “Salam Center” and the Global Fatwa Index, which support peaceful coexistence and correct religious misconceptions.
The Polish M***i praised Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta leading scholarly role and expressed interest in expanding cooperation, particularly in training programs for religious leaders in Poland.

Dr. Ayyad highlighted the longstanding ties between Egypt and the Maldives, reaffirming Dar al-Ifta’s commitment to expanding collaboration in Arabic language instruction, Islamic sciences, and the training of qualified scholars capable of promoting a balanced and enlightened understanding of Islam.
He also reviewed the institution’s key initiatives and affiliated bodies in countering extremism, monitoring global fatwa trends, and fostering constructive intellectual dialogue, underscoring the vital role of partnerships between religious and academic institutions in promoting sound awareness and responsible religious discourse.

The Grand M***i outlined Dar al-Ifta’s mission in promoting a balanced and moderate understanding of Islam, emphasizing the role of fatwas in fostering social stability and addressing contemporary challenges. He highlighted key initiatives, affiliated with the General Secretariat, including Salam Center for Extremist Studies, the Global Fatwa Index, and mam al-Layth ibn Saad Center for Coexistence Jurisprudence.

For his part, Silverman commended Dar al-Ifta’s leading role in spreading moderation and combating extremist ideologies, expressing interest in deepening collaboration. Both sides affirmed the importance of strengthening Egyptian-American cooperation—particularly in countering extremism and Islamophobia—and promoting dialogue, tolerance, and mutual understanding.
