🕋 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑: 𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐅𝐀𝐇 𝐃𝐀𝐘! 🕋
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, dear brothers and sisters!
Today is the Day of Arafah. One of the most blessed days of the Islamic year and a golden opportunity for immense reward and forgiveness.
✨ 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐎 & 𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐓 ✨
This day is a gift from Allah SWT. Let's make the most of it:
1. 𝙁𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 (𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙉𝙤𝙣-𝙃𝙪𝙟𝙟𝙖𝙟): Fasting on the Day of Arafat expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year. What an incredible reward for one day of fasting!
‘The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about fasting on the day of Arafah. He replied, "Fasting on the day of Arafah is an expiation for the preceding year and the following year.” (Muslim)
2. 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝘼𝙗𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝘿𝙪'𝙖: This is the absolute best day for du'a! The du'a on Arafat is answered. Raise your hands, pour out your heart, and ask Allah for everything you desire in this world and the Hereafter. Make du'a for yourself, your family, your loved ones, the Ummah, and humanity.
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The best invocation is that of the Day of Arafat, and the best that anyone can say is what I and the Prophets before me have said: Lā 'ilāha 'illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa huwa `alā kulli shay'in qadīr. (At-Tirmidhi)
3. 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝘿𝙝𝙞𝙠𝙧 & 𝙏𝙖𝙡𝙗𝙞𝙮𝙖𝙝 (𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙖 𝙋𝙞𝙡𝙜𝙧𝙞𝙢): If you are performing Hajj, engage in continuous Talbiyah:
“Labbayk Allahumma Labbayk, Labbayk La Shareeka Laka Labbayk, Innal Hamda Wannimata Laka Wal Mulk, La Shareeka Lak.”
For those not performing Hajj, increase your general Dhikr: Lā 'ilāha 'illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa huwa `alā kulli shay'in qadīr.
4. 𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 (𝙄𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙛𝙖𝙧): This is a day of immense mercy. Repent sincerely for your sins, past and present. Allah's forgiveness is vast.
5. 𝙍𝙚𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙌𝙪𝙧𝙖𝙣: Dedicate time to reading and reflecting on the Holy Quran.
6. 𝙂𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 (𝙎𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙦𝙖𝙝): Though not specific to Arafat, giving charity on blessed days multiplies rewards.
7. 𝙈𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙨: Continue with all good deeds you normally do, and strive to improve upon them. Avoid arguments, backbiting, and all forms of sin.
8. 𝙍𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧: Take time to reflect on your life, your purpose, and your relationship with Allah SWT.
Let's share this and encourage each other to seize this blessed opportunity! May Allah SWT accept all our good deeds, forgive our sins, and grant us His immense mercy on this great day. Ameen!
