Every NICU nurse knows that eventually a baby gets discharged and you have to say goodbye. With Pamela, Nora Lussier realized she couldn’t do it.

The medically fragile infant had been in state custody since birth.

She needed a feeding tube, extra care and a foster home capable of handling her medical needs.

Nora was one of the nurses caring for her through 12-hour overnight shifts.

The bond kept growing.

Then one night in September 2024, Nora did something she had never expected to do.

She emailed Pamela’s social worker and asked if she could become the baby’s foster mom.

Just three weeks later, Pamela was living in her home.

And in July 2026, on the little girl’s second birthday, the story reached the ending Nora once could only hope for:

Perez Hilton’s family has entered a very different chapter.
