It is the only surah that was revealed to blame a specific person.

On the authority of Abu Ad-Darda, may Allah be pleased with him, who said that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "Read Surah Al-Masad in your prayers, for no one from my nation has read it in a prayer except that Allah has protected him from the evil of Abu Lahab and from the evil of every evil person."
