The Basilica of Saint Augustine was commissioned by bishop Berthelemy Combes on 9 Oct. 1881and dedicated in 1900. A man of dialogue, of peace, and of love.

it was built in honor of Our illustrious Doctor St.Augustine: Son of Africa, Son of Algeria.

Today we celebrate st. Monica the mother of Saint Augustine.

“She had been the wife of one man, had requited her parents, had guided her house piously, was well-reported of, for good works, had brought up children, as often travailing in birth of them (cf. Galatians 4:19) as she saw them swerving from You. Lastly, to all of us, O Lord (since of Your favour Thou sufferest Your servants to speak), who, before her sleeping in You, (cf. 1 Thessalonians 4:14) lived associated together, having received the grace of Your baptism, did she devote, care such as she might if she had been mother of us all; served us as if she had been child of all.”

As we celebrate World Bible Day, we are glad to invite you to an exposition that recounts the origin and the canonicity of the bible through the ages.
This exposition is entitled "LA BIBILE, PRATRIMOINE DE HUMANITE".
Date: 20 November at 5:30pm to 30 November. (every day from 9am to 4:30pm.

Dimanche, 15 mai, le pape François déclarera "saints" dix bienheureux, parmi
lesquels le Frère Charles de Foucauld.
La cérémonie de la canonisation aura donc lieu le dimanche 15 mai, à 9h, heure
d'Algérie, et sera accessible en direct sur le lien. Elle sera retransmise en direct sur un grand écran ici à la basilique d'Annaba.

قال يسوع: «إِنَّ خِرافي تُصْغي إِلى صَوتي، وأَنا أَعرِفُها، وهي تَتبَعُني. وأَنا أَهَبُ لَها الحَياةَ الأَبديَّة، فلا تَهلِكُ أَبدًا، ولا يَختَطِفُها أَحَدٌ مِن يَدي. إِنَّ أَبي الَّذي وَهَبَها لي، أَعظَمُ مِن كُلِّ مَوجود؛ ما مِن أَحَدٍ يَستَطيعُ أَن يَختَطِفَ مِن يَدِ الآبِ شَيئًا. أَنا والآبُ واحِد».

"ستحملين وتلدين ابنًا"

فصل من بشارة القدّيس لوقا الإنجيلي البشير

وفي الشَّهرِ السَّادِس، أَرسَلَ اللهُ الـمَلاكَ جِبرائيلَ إِلى مَدينَةٍ في الجَليلِ اسْمُها الناصِرَة،
إِلى عَذْراءَ مَخْطوبَةٍ لِرَجُلٍ مِن بَيتِ داودَ اسمُهُ يوسُف، وَاسمُ الفتاة مَريَم.
فدَخَلَ إلَيها فَقال: «السّلامُ عليكِ، أَيَّتُها الـمُمتَلِئَةُ نِعْمَةً، الرَّبُّ مَعَكِ».
فداخَلَها اضطرابٌ شَديدٌ لِهذا الكَلامِ وسأَلَت نَفسَها ما مَعنى هذا السَّلام.
فقالَ لها الـمَلاك: «لا تخافي يا مَريَم، فقد نِلتِ حُظوَةً عِندَ الله.
فَستحمِلينَ وتَلِدينَ ابنًا فسَمِّيهِ يَسوع.
سَيكونُ عَظيمًا وَابنَ العَلِيِّ يُدعى، وَيُوليه الرَّبُّ الإِلهُ عَرشَ أَبيه داود،
ويَملِكُ على بَيتِ يَعقوبَ أَبَدَ الدَّهر، وَلَن يَكونَ لِمُلكِه نِهاية»
فَقالَت مَريَمُ لِلمَلاك: «كَيفَ يَكونُ هذا وَلا أَعرِفُ رَجُلاً؟»
فأَجابَها الـمَلاك: «إِنَّ الرُّوحَ القُدُسَ سَينزِلُ عَليكِ وقُدرَةَ العَلِيِّ تُظَلِّلَكِ، لِذلِكَ يَكونُ الـمَولودُ قُدُّوسًا وَابنَ اللهِ يُدعى.
وها إِنَّ نَسيبَتَكِ أَليصابات قد حَبِلَت هي أَيضًا بِابنٍ في شَيخوخَتِها، وهذا هو الشَّهرُ السَّادِسُ لِتِلكَ الَّتي كانَت تُدعى عاقِرًا.
فما مِن شَيءٍ يُعجِزُ الله».
فَقالَت مَريَم: «أَنا أَمَةُ الرَّبّ فَليَكُنْ لي بِحَسَبِ قَوْلِكَ». وَانصرَفَ الـمَلاكُ مِن عِندِها.

كلام الرب.

الجماعة: التسبيح لكَ أيها المسيح.
