THE ROLE OF YOUR MOUTH/WORDS IN WORSHIP PART TWO
Revelation 5:9 And [now] they sing a new song, saying, You are worthy to take the scroll and to break the seals that are on it, for You were slain (sacrificed), and with Your blood You purchased men unto God from every tribe and language and people and nation.
Furthermore, He is worthy to receive might(ischous), honor(time), glory(doxa), and blessing(eulogia). Ischous is power in action to carry out God's Will. Time refers to esteem/value/respect which in this case is due to Christ because He is. Doxa is tribute or public display of adoration, which is accrued to Christ. And lastly, eulogia, which is praise, should be given to Christ.
We now why statements such as "blessed be the Lord God" were made in scriptures. This is an act of worship that can proceed from ones lips. When one says that they count all things loss, it only is because they highly esteemed the Christ. This is all worship. He speaks forth these things. In Phil 1:20, Ap. Paul desired that Christ would always be magnified in his body. Christ is worthy of power, riches, wisdom, might, honor, glory, and blessing. These seven Mark completion/perfection. This implied that it is beyond doubt that He is worthy of the best that can be.
How do you pray? How do you worship? Do you run out of words to say? Do you struggle at times? Simply speak forth of how He is worthy of those seven attributes. This is how we honor Him. Its how we glorify him. By doing this, you are making thanksgiving! Daily choose to ascribe worship to the King of kings. Let this be your lifestyle. In Jesus' Name!
