We seek to empower women in the DR that are marginalized by s*xual exploitation & domestic violence. M.E.R.C.Y.

As we walk the streets of the Dominican Republic, we see WOMEN. They are mothers who have tucked their children in bed, locked the door and have gone into the streets of the cities to sell their bodies for the price of the next day's meal. Jewelry is a ministry that exists to provide the women a life with dignity. Through this ministry, they hear about Christ's love and His healing.

• The number one reason for a woman to pr******te herself is to feed her family
• Women and teens are lured with promises of jobs, then sold into s*xual slavery to other countries. Knowing that God loves these women and has created them for a purpose, a team of women in the Dominican Republic reach out into the streets with the gospel. They also are able to provide job skills training, educational opportunities, counseling and crisis intervention. The Workshop Safehouse was founded in 2010 to provide a safe environment for women to work in dignity and learn of Christ's love.
