Good day!
In our last service we explored the subject of joy. We heard a testimony brought with joy wich was very inspirational. Wolfgang then supplied us with a funny joke that caused us to laugh and asked us a few questions:
What causes you to rejoice and be happy? And what are causes of joy?
The Bible also talks about joy. In 1 Peter 1:8 we read:
Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy.
And John 15 verses 9-12
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
Joy causes a reaction in us. Spiritual too: joy is a free gift from God.
Nature inspires us, sometimes gives awe, beauty and joy. This can also happen when we encounter Jesus. This experience fills our hearts. We can't see Him, touch him, hear him. There must be something different. We can love Him, hope in Him, trust Him. This faith will lead to joy in our lives.
It is on Jesus heart that we have joy continously. He will make our joy complete. Also in our struggles. He is next to us. Heaven is a joyful place, without sadness!
Relationships affect our joy. We just read: Love God and love each other. The way we interact with each other will increase or decrease our joy.
The risen Lord Jesus Christ, wants you to know Him better. Do I want to know Him more, better? He is available and approachable. He is alive! And that is joyful news 😀
Do you want to improve your relationship?
Let us be a fellowship of love and joy!
We expressed this through a joyful song and socialising with chatting and eating together.
