CELEBRATE WITH US: John & Elva Beach arrived in Germany on June 8, 1976—50 years ago today! First, they lived in Munich for a short time while they learned German, and then they moved to Ulm and established High Point as a church. After many years of fruitful ministry in Ulm, the Army base there closed in the early ‘90s and they prayed about what they should do next. In 1992, God led them to move to Vilseck, and in May of 1993, they reestablished High Point as a church. It started in stairwell housing in Amberg, then we met in an elementary school gymnasium and in a Lutheran church building before we found our own building here in Vilseck (the antique store in Schlicht was our first church building). We are currently in our 3rd building in Vilseck, but it all started 50 years ago when John and Elva brought their 3 boys (Their 4th boy, Pastor Duane, wasn't born yet) to Germany as missionaries! Please take a moment to thank them for their service to God and our church body!
