Since our Friday nights “dinner & Bible study” have turned into weekly Zoom meetings, we realized how easy it would be to connect with those we've known from BAMBERG and VILSECK.

Man Kim (BHH 2002?) also suggested it – that we share a few songs and connect together in worship.

So… FOR ALL YOU WHO SHARED YOUR LIVES WITH US IN GERMANY ANY TIME SINCE 1998:

Please join us this Saturday, May 9, at 7pm Germany time (that’s 10am in California, 11am in Colorado... you get the idea). Even if you can log in for only a few minutes, we’d love to have you!

It won’t be anything fancy – a howdy and short prayer and then we’ll worship through a few songs… then maybe some chit-chat, etc. Unfortunately we won’t be able to leave everyone’s mic on during the actual singing because of the delay, but it can still sound sweet to God!

The Post in Bamberg is in the process of closing. By the end of the summer, nearly half of those stationed here will be gone. We ourselves plan to close the Bamberg Hospitality House this August and move about 90 minutes away to Vilseck--an enduring location--to open a new Hospitality House.

We'd like to set aside one of our last Friday nights here, August 2, to celebrate God's work here over the last 38 years (founded in '75, we've been here since '98).

If you've been part of the House here, could you please HELP US CELEBRATE GOD'S WORK HERE BY WRITING BACK with a few short sentences (or more if you'd like!) of how God worked in your life through the Bamberg Hospitality House? If you have something to share, please let us know what God did in your life while you were here--and if you have a current pic we'd love that, too. Our desire is not to draw attention to us, but to God, his amazing grace, and his faithfulness.

We are sad to leave Bamberg. It's been an unspeakable privilege to be here these many years...

Hi friends--here's the May calendar! This Saturday we're planning a trip to the Aquarium in Suhl (~1hr north; www.meeresaquarium-zella-mehlis.de). Next highlight is our Memorial Day weekend mission/work trip to serve at the Christian International School of Prague (www.CISPrague.org).

Nov 19 (Mon): monthly Single Soldier Supper at chapel
Nov 22 (Thu): Happy Thanksgiving--dinner at 5pm
Nov 24 (Sat): Bonfire near our village--hot dog roasting, baked beans, fellowship, hot cider, hot chocolate, singing & worship, s'mores, etc.
