In the aftermath of the powerful magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck off the coast of Sarangani, Mindanao, Philippines, on June 8, 2026, the Missionary Sisters Servants of the Holy Spirit unite in prayer for all affected communities. 🙏
The earthquake, caused strong tremors across southern Mindanao, resulting in reported casualties, injuries, collapsed buildings, power outages, and widespread disruption. Tsunami warnings were also issued across coastal areas, prompting evacuations and heightened concern in several regions.
We pray especially for families who are grieving, those who are injured or displaced, and all who continue to face fear and uncertainty in the aftermath. We also lift up rescue workers, medical teams, and volunteers responding tirelessly on the ground.
May the Holy Spirit bring comfort to the suffering, strength to those who serve, and hope to all who are rebuilding their lives.
