People around the world have been deeply saddened by the devastating flash floods and mudslides that struck Nepal on August 26. The disaster has caused loss of life, injuries, displacement, and extensive damage in the

In light of the catastrophic flooding that recently hit Nepal and Tibet, FPMT has launched the FPMT Emergency Relief Fund to provide immediate support to affected communities. This fund assists individuals and families impacted by natural disasters, emergency situations at FPMT centers and projects, and other urgent crises requiring swift aid.

We are currently utilizing this fund to raise relief funds for those impacted by the flooding that occurred on August 26 along the Bhote Koshi River on the Nepal-Tibet border. The floodwaters have swept away entire villages, homes, roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure across Rasuwa and neighboring districts. The scale of this disaster is still unfolding, with many people remaining unaccounted for and entire communities displaced.

FPMT is working directly with Kopan Monastery to identify those most in need and help ensure that support reaches affected families directly.

Our hearts are with the people of Nepal following the devastating floods affecting communities along the Nepal–Tibet border — with lives lost, many still missing, and rescue efforts continuing.

At moments like this, Lama Zopa Rinpoche reminded us not to underestimate the power of sincere prayer and refuge. He offered specific practices for mitigating severe conditions of the elements, including Tea Offering to the Eight Classes and The Prayer to Guru Rinpoche that Spontaneously Fulfills All Wishes (Sampa Lhundrupma).

We encourage our community to practice and dedicate today for all those who have died, those who are missing or injured, their families, rescuers, and everyone still in danger.

May suffering and fear be swiftly relieved. May all beings be protected. 🙏

Lama Zopa Rinpoche hat sich mehrfach ausdrücklich zu dem Text "8 Verse des Geistestrainings" von Geshe Langri Tangpa geäußert.

Z.B. sagte er sinngemäß:
„Dieser Text der Geistesschulung enthält den Lamrim – die wesentliche Anleitung, den Schlüssel, um die Tür zur Weisheit zu öffnen und die 84.000 Belehrungen des Buddha zu verstehen.“

Wir freuen uns sehr dass Serkong Rinpoche am ersten Septemberwochenende Unterweisungen zu diesem Text im Tara Mandala geben wird.
