God is so faithful to continue to call sinners to repentance and saving faith in Jesus Christ which results in the obedience of believers’ baptism as a public declaration of their new faith. We celebrated new life in Christ today at Faith as we baptized Hannah, Elijah, Corinne, and Anna. We rejoice in God’s goodness to us in Christ.

One of the proofs of our heavenly Father’s great love and care for His church is that He brings faithful men of God to love, to lead, and to serve them. I (Garrett) consider it an honor to serve in pastoral ministry with Pablo and Jerry who, with their godly and lovely wives, have given all that they are to the glory of Jesus Christ by building up, edifying, and serving the church. It is difficult to capture in words all that these faithful men and women do for the kingdom of God, but heaven will show the length and breadth of their good works. For now, we thank the Lord for their ministry for we are the richer for it. ❤️

The FBC Men’s Study Cohort will finish our study of Systematic Theology this week. Starting next Thursday at 1800, the cohort will begin a twenty-six week study of Institutes of the Christian Religion. We’re using the translation by Henry Beveridge and David Calhoun’s reading guide for this study. Be sure to read chapters 1-5 in Institutes and the Introduction and Chapter 1 of the reading guide for our first night, Thursday, March 21st. (This study is open only to members of Faith Baptist Church.)

Our next Women’s Ministry Fellowship will be “Paints and Treats” on Saturday, January 20th, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Painting space is limited to the first twelve who RSVP by January 17th to [email protected]. This fellowship is also open to all non-painters. The cost is 5 Euro per person to paint and refreshments will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Have you ever had the feeling that you might be missing out, or that you should be serving in a ministry? AWANA, Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m., is a great place to get involved and to serve the Lord. Our AWANA club needs adult leaders to fill vacancies created by mid-season PCS’s. AWANA is a rewarding ministry where you help to lead, guide, and mentor children in their walk with Christ. In addition, it is never too late to get your children, ages 3-10, involved where they memorize Scripture, receive godly instruction, enjoy game time, and establish and grow friendships.
